Spend Halloween Weekend on the Bay at the International Food and Music Festival
There are weekends you plan and weekends that plan themselves. The last one in October is doing the work for you this year, with Halloween landing on a Saturday and Día de los Muertos right behind it, all of it set up on the water downtown. Clear the calendar and show up hungry.
Free Entry, Both Days, Right on the Bay
The International Food and Music Festival San Diego 2026 takes over Embarcadero Marina Park North for two full days, turning the park into global street food, live music, a car show, and carnival rides, with the downtown skyline on one side and the harbor on the other.
Fifty Food Vendors, One Waterfront Lawn
More than 50 international food vendors set up across the park, running from street food to fusion plates to dishes made the way they are made back home. You could eat your way through several continents without leaving the grass.
There is a beer garden with craft pours and cocktails, plus specialty drinks if you want something other than beer in your hand while the sun goes down over the water.
Halloween Saturday, Día de los Muertos Sunday
The weekend is built around both holidays. Saturday leans Halloween, Sunday turns toward Día de los Muertos, and the festival programs live bands, DJs, and cultural performances across both days.
A car show rolls in alongside the music, which is a very San Diego way to spend an afternoon. Costumes are encouraged the whole weekend, so dress for it.
Carnival Rides With a Harbor View
Beyond the food, there are carnival rides and games, the kind that keep kids busy for hours and give everyone else a reason to stay past dark. More than 50 retail and cultural vendors sell handmade goods, artisan products, and décor from local and international makers.
Interactive installations, themed backdrops, and live art displays are scattered throughout if you want photos worth keeping.

Two days, free entry, and more food than you can reasonably get through in one visit. Come hungry, come in costume, and give yourself time to wander the whole park.
