Catch Love Isn’t Blind Live, Where the Men Can’t Say a Word
There are comedy shows, and then there are comedy shows that end with two strangers on a date. Love Isn’t Blind is a live dating show where men compete on stage for one bachelorette, and not one of them is allowed to speak.
The show has played the Gaslamp before, and it’s back at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter for another round.

One Bachelorette, a Stage Full of Men, and Zero Talking
The men are up there the whole show without a single word. No voices, no jokes, no talking their way out of a bad moment. Body language is the only tool any of them has.
It sounds like a gimmick right up until you watch someone try to flirt using nothing but his face. Presence is the entire game, and the crowd catches on fast.
Some of them turn out to be naturals. Most of them are not, and that gap is where most of the comedy lives.

Mom Calls, Unlocked Phones, and a Date That Starts Immediately
The games get more revealing as the night goes on. Phones get handed over and unlocked on stage, and at one point the contestants’ moms get called live in front of everyone.
By the end, the field is down to two finalists, and that’s the first time anyone in the room hears either of them talk. Hearing a voice you’ve spent all night guessing at lands harder than you’d expect.
The winner heads straight to the bar with the bachelorette for a date that starts right then. By that point the room has long since picked a side.

Wristbands, Wings, and an Actual Wingcouple
You’re not just there to watch. Everyone gets a wristband based on relationship status, so the whole room knows who is available before the lights go down.
There’s also a wingcouple working the crowd in actual wings, nudging the quieter people toward a conversation. Come to be picked, come to meet someone two seats over, or come because the show is very funny on its own.

See you there!
The Gaslamp is the right neighborhood for a night that ends at the bar. Round up your most single friends and go.
