Ahoy, Mateys! Set Sail for the Ocean Institute’s Epic Maritime Festival
We’re dropping anchor at Dana Point for a swashbuckling celebration of maritime history that’ll shiver yer timbers! The Ocean Institute’s 40th Annual Maritime Festival is sailing into town, and it’s gonna be a boatload of fun for landlubbers and sea dogs alike.
From Grog to Grub: A Treasure Trove of Festivities
Imagine strolling along the harbor, the salty breeze in your hair, as you explore a bounty of local vendors hawking their wares.
Your nose might lead you to a flotilla of food trucks, or perhaps you’ll find yourself hoisting a frosty mug in one of the beer gardens. Feeling extra saucy? Swagger into the Seadog Saloon for a taste of the pirate’s life.
But don’t worry, they haven’t forgotten about the little buccaneers! The Lil’ Lads Landing and Sailor Camp will keep the young’uns entertained while you’re off on your own adventures. And for those curious about what lurks beneath the waves, they’ve got local marine life on display that’ll make you say, “Holy mackerel!”
Of course, it wouldn’t be a maritime festival without the stars of the show—the majestic tall ships. These wooden behemoths will transport you back to the golden age of sail.
The best part? Every doubloon spent at this shindig goes straight back into the Ocean Institute’s mission of using the big blue as our classroom to inspire the next generation of seafarers and ocean lovers. So come on down and be part of a Dana Point tradition that’s been making waves for four decades!
