Meet the Founders Behind Fierce & Kind: The Human Spirit
Some spirits brands are just about the drink. Fierce & Kind is trying to do something a little different.
Founded by Basem Harb and Cyndi Smith right here in San Diego, the brand was built around a simple but ambitious idea: that a great bottle of whiskey can bring people together, start better conversations, and maybe even nudge the world in a better direction. Think Ben & Jerry’s or Patagonia, but for your bar cart.

The Story Behind the Bottle
Basem started developing the concept during the pandemic – a social enterprise model that puts award-winning spirits at the center while reinvesting in the way business can serve society.
Cyndi came on board to help build and grow the brand, starting in their hometown. The result is a company that takes both its craft and its purpose seriously.
An Evening at Seven Grand
Seven Grand is the right room for this kind of thing. Come meet Basem and Cyndi in person, taste what they’ve been working on, and pair it all with hors d’oeuvres in one of San Diego’s best whiskey bars.
It’s an exclusive, intimate event – the kind where you actually get to hear the story directly from the people who lived it.

See you there!
Good whiskey, good food, and a conversation worth having.
