San Diego Sake Week 2022 Returns October 1st

San Diego Sake Week 2022, kicking off October 1st, is a week-long celebration for sake newbies and enthusiasts to come together to appreciate this beautiful beverage and celebrate Japanese culture!

Community, culture, and sake!

This year, Sake Week will start with the grand opening event at the Japanese Friendship Garden on Saturday October 1st, hosted by Setting Sun Sake, as a celebration of community, craft, culture, and, of course, sake! Throughout the week, local restaurants will host sake tasting events and share the love of sake with our patrons.

San Diego’s own ‘Sake Sommelier’ to host Grand Finale Tasting

The Sake Week 2022 grand finale will be a Sake tasting at Ruocco Park on Saturday, October 8th, hosted by Ayaka Ito of BESHOCK Ramen, who holds the prestigious kikizakeshi certification (similar to a sommelier of sake), and the Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana.

It is expected that around 1000 participants and over 100 sake brands will participate in the Sake tasting on October 8th.

For more info and to keep up with Setting Sun Sake Brewing, follow them on Instagram.

See you there, San Diego!
