21st Annual San Diego Tet Festival Moves to Liberty Station
San Diego Tet Festival 2026 is back and bigger than ever for its 21st year, and it’s making a major move from Mira Mesa to NTC Park at Liberty Station. As one of the largest free community festivals in San Diego, this three-day event celebrates the Lunar New Year and the arrival of spring with vibrant cultural festivities.
This year, we’re celebrating the Year of the Horse and more than two decades of bringing the community together. The festival attracts over 30,000 attendees annually and offers something for everyone, from traditional celebrations to modern attractions.

Night Market, Miss Vietnam San Diego, and Lion Dancing
The festival kicks off with a Night Market featuring vibrant vendors, and the Miss Vietnam San Diego Pageant takes place Saturday evening. Lion dancing happens all three days, and the Opening Ceremony features lion dancing, firecrackers, music, and more.
The Cultural Village showcases stunning historical structures that are perfect for photos, and live entertainment includes A-list and local artists performing throughout the weekend.

Full Carnival Rides and Dance Contests
Beyond the traditional celebrations, there’s a full carnival with rides running through Sunday evening, plus a Beer Garden featuring San Diego’s finest craft beers. The Step-Up and Zodiac Rumble Dance Contests offer cash prizes, and game booths throughout the festival provide exciting prizes for participants.
Food vendors offer diverse cuisines, and there are plenty of children’s games and activities to keep the younger ones engaged.

Vietnamese Kid’s Pageant and Lucky Red Envelopes
The Vietnamese Kid’s Pageant Spotlight gives young performers a chance to shine, and “Lucky Red Envelopes” are given during the Opening Ceremony as part of the traditional celebration.
The festival has been voted 3rd Best Festival of 2017 by the San Diego City A-List, and continues to be a cornerstone of San Diego’s Lunar New Year celebrations.

Free Admission for All
The entire festival is free for all, making it accessible to the entire community. NTC Park at Liberty Station provides a spacious venue that can accommodate the festival’s growth while maintaining the vibrant, community-focused atmosphere that’s made it successful for over two decades.
See you there!
The move to Liberty Station marks a new chapter for San Diego Tet Festival, and the larger venue should make it easier to accommodate the tens of thousands of people who show up to celebrate each year.
