Go Behind the Scenes at SeaWorld’s Inside Look Event
SeaWorld San Diego is pulling back the curtain on what happens when the cameras aren’t rolling. Inside Look 2026 returns for two weekends this month, offering us a chance to meet the rescue teams, animal care specialists, and researchers who make the park’s conservation work possible.
This year’s event comes with an expanded lineup of all-new experiences alongside returning favorites.

Meet the People Behind the Rescues
The SeaWorld Rescue Team will be stationed at Rescue Plaza throughout both weekends, giving us the opportunity to talk with animal care professionals, lab technicians, and veterinarians who deliver life-saving care to rescued animals year-round.
It’s one thing to see the finished work – it’s another to hear directly from the people doing it about what goes into each rescue.

New Experiences for 2026
This year brings several fresh additions to the Inside Look schedule. You can take the Bayside Skyride to visit Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute, where scientific research experts will share their work in marine conservation. The 15-minute tour stops run from 1 PM to 3 PM during event dates.
At the Rescue Jr. Stage, a new presentation called Rescue Pals introduces Conservation Ambassadors, including Spike the alligator and Tater Tot the capybara, highlighting animal care and rescue efforts in an accessible format.
For those curious about the upcoming Shark Encounter opening this spring, Shark Specialists will be near Discoveries Toy Store from 12 PM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 3 PM. They’ll discuss preparations for the 11 species coming to the new habitat, including sand tiger sharks, blacktip reef sharks, and the endangered Australian leopard shark.
The Jewels of the Sea – Aquarist Talk runs from 3 PM to 4 PM inside the Medusa Gallery, exploring the world of jellies. A special Orca Trainer Talk at 2 PM at Orca Amphitheater showcases the bond between trainers and orcas while connecting us with the mission to protect ocean habitats.

Returning Presentations Worth Catching
Beloved experiences are back, including trainer talks at Wild Arctic with sea otters, Penguin Encounter, Dolphin Point, and Sea Lion & Otter Amphitheater.
Inside Turtle Reef lets us watch zoological scuba divers interact with turtles while educators share information and lead games. Inside Look Connections on the SkyTower Lawn spotlights local conservation organizations throughout both weekends.
You can pick up an Inside Look passport at the park entrance and collect stamps at various locations for a special prize at The Whale Shop while supplies last.
