SeaWorld San Diego is Lighting Up the Night Sky This Summer
SeaWorld San Diego has a new reason to stay after dark this summer. Ocean of Dreams is an all-new nightly drone show featuring 600 fully synchronized drones set to a soaring soundtrack – and it’s the first nightly drone show at any California attraction.
The 12-minute show transforms the night sky into a living ocean: sea otters, sharks, dolphins, and a majestic orca rendered in aerial formations and vibrant lighting, building toward an electric neon finale. It’s the kind of thing that’s hard to describe and easier to just go see.

What Else is Going on This Summer
Ocean of Dreams is part of SeaWorld’s broader Summer Spectacular lineup, which means there’s plenty more going on around the park:
- A summer parade
- Thrilling stunt shows and fan-favorite character experiences
- The Summer Concert Series featuring iconic hip hop and R&B artists from the ’90s and early 2000s on select Saturdays
- Sea Lions Tonite and other nighttime favorites
- Award-winning rides and attractions for all-day, all-night fun
The All-New Shark Encounter
Also debuting this summer is the all-new Shark Encounter exhibit – an immersive, up-close look at some of the ocean’s most fascinating predators. It opens alongside the drone show and is included with park admission.
