Second Chance Beer Says “Stretch First, Drink Second”
Second Chance Beer Company co-founder, Virginia Morrison, will teach “Stretch First, Drink Second” yoga class on Sunday, the first in a series of four on the second Sunday of each month through September. Morrison is YTT certified, and the beginner-level classes will be held at Second Chance’s Carmel Mountain location.
The classes will be yin-style, which is a slow-paced style of yoga with passive postures held for longer periods of time.
Each Second Chance Beer yoga class includes playful instruction, an 8oz beer or coffee of your choice after class, as well as your favorite 4 or 6-pack of Second Chance Beer to take home and enjoy later.
For you yogis, these classes will be yin-style, with added emphasis on mindfulness and gratitude. No experience necessary – true to Second Chance values, all are welcome. Bring a yoga mat, wear comfortable clothing that allows you to stretch, and come with an open mind and heart.
“We are emphasizing mindfulness and gratitude for this relaxing and fun yoga session at the brewery,” Morrison said. “We want participants to come with an open mind and an open heart as they improve strength, balance, and flexibility with their bodies and in their lives.”
A portion of ticket proceeds, like all Second Chance events and beer sales, will benefit dog rescue organizations such as The Animal Pad.
Tickets are $40 and can be purchased here. Buy all 4 in the series for $120 ($40 discount). Space for Second Chance Beer yoga and drinks is limited, make sure to buy your tickets now so you don’t miss out on this great opportunity!
See you there, San Diego!
