The Sheraton Carlsbad Resort And Spa To Host Root Beer Float Fundraiser

In celebration of National Root Beer Float Day and Marriott International’s longstanding partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, The Sheraton Carlsbad Resort and Spa invites locals and guests to partake in a sweet fundraiser.

Root Beer Float Day is a nod to Marriott’s beginnings in the 1920s when company founder Bill Marriott Sr. and his wife Alice opened two root beer stands in Washington, D.C.

Sheraton Carlsbad Resort associates will be serving up root beer floats to guests in exchange for a donation to the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Rady Children’s Hospital. Root beer floats will be available for $3 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the resort’s lobby and all proceeds will be donated to Rady Children’s Hospital. Additionally, Sheraton Carlsbad Resort will match donations dollar for dollar.
