Be in the Room When STARBOUND Debuts – The Army, The Navy at Music Box

The Army, The Navy have the kind of close harmonies and emotionally direct indie pop that makes a room go quiet at the right moment. They’re headlining the debut edition of STARBOUND – a new live music series from Core Creatives and Music Box built on a single idea: get to artists while they’re still close enough to feel like a discovery.

“STARBOUND is our way of giving artists a meaningful San Diego moment while they’re still close enough for fans to feel part of the story,” says Daniella DeFrance, founder of Core Creatives.

Fake Brave Life and a Stage That Fits the Music

The LA duo released their debut album, Fake Brave Life, in June 2026. It’s the kind of record that earns the audience rather than chases it – and that audience has been showing up. Seeing them at Music Box, in a room that holds the sound right, is the kind of show worth getting there for.

Sedona Opens With Pageant Rock and a Sold-Out Track Record

Opening the night is Sedona, a Los Angeles singer-songwriter who calls her sound “pageant rock” – ’70s soft rock, Americana and indie pop that lands harder than the description suggests. She’s sold out headline shows at The Echo, Zebulon and Elsewhere, and NPR singled her out of SXSW 2025.

Her debut album Getting Into Heaven arrived in May 2025, followed by the single “Hollywood” in January 2026. A strong way to start a Thursday.

Each Edition is Designed as a Full Night Out

STARBOUND is built around more than a single bill. Core Creatives is developing artist conversations, original content and community-led promotion that extend discovery beyond the show itself – with connections to local artists, media voices and cultural partners woven into each edition.

Future lineups will follow emerging artists across genres. This is the first one.
