Join An Unforgettable Whiskey Pairing Dinner With Stranahan’s Whiskey
The San Diego Bay Wine and Food Festival has joined forces with Stranahan’s Whiskey to present an unforgettable whiskey pairing dinner, hosted at the renowned restaurant and cocktail bar, The Desmond.
Upon arrival, guests will enjoy a welcome cocktail, followed by a 5-course dinner. Each course will be thoughtfully paired with a unique cocktail. As an added highlight, guests will have the chance to sample a flight of Stranahan’s various whiskey labels, allowing them to experience the whiskeys neat.
Whiskey Educator, Xander Brown, will expertly guide guests through the intricacies of each pairing, accompanied by The Desmond’s Chef Aldo Negrete, who will delve into each food pairing.
Menu highlights include:
- Sweet corn pudding, swarnadwipa, toasted corn husk powder, house flat bread
- Grilled local stone fruit, burrata, coppa salami, chamomile & white balsamic marinate
- Whiskey cured kampachi, sunamono cucumbers, avara melon, E.v.o.o., puffed Barley
- Wood Oven Roasted Pork Loin, Oaxacan mole Negro, Sesame seed, Squash Blossom Tortilla
- Hazelnut and miso chocolate bar, figs, kumquats, candied ginger, hazelnut creameux, caramel
This event is just a taste of what The San Diego Bay Wine and Food Festival has in store as a prelude to its 19th annual celebration, scheduled for November 8th to 12th.
