Lace Up for Love: More Than Pink Walk Takes Over Balboa Park
Susan G. Komen is bringing its iconic More Than Pink Walk to Balboa Park, and we’re all invited to join the fight against breast cancer. This isn’t just a walk in the park—it’s a powerful statement of hope, unity, and determination.

Why Your Steps Matter
Every 12 minutes, a woman in the U.S. loses her battle with breast cancer. That’s a statistic we’re not okay with, and neither is Susan G. Komen. Your participation in the More Than Pink Walk helps fund critical research, support services, and lifesaving treatments.
Last year alone, Komen provided over $750,000 in financial assistance to Californians battling breast cancer.
More Than Just a Walk
This event is part pep rally, part community reunion, and all heart. You’ll rub elbows with survivors, supporters, and advocates who are as passionate about kicking cancer’s butt as you are. Plus, there’s something incredibly powerful about seeing a sea of pink take over one of San Diego’s most iconic locations.

Local Impact, Global Goals
While we’re walking in Balboa Park, we’re part of a much bigger picture. Komen’s work spans from answering late-night calls on their Breast Care Helpline to funding groundbreaking research that could lead to the big C-word we’re all hoping for: Cure.
San Diego Shows Up
“San Diego knows how to show up for a good cause,” says Leia Brune, executive director of Susan G. Komen San Diego. “This walk is our chance to prove that when we come together, we can make real change happen.”

See You There!
The Susan G. Komen San Diego More Than Pink Walk takes place on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Balboa Park.
