See Switchfoot Bring the Forever Now Tour Home to Del Mar
Switchfoot have sold more than five million tickets across more than 40 countries. Saturday night, they are playing for the city that raised them.
The Forever Now Tour pulls into The Sound at the Del Mar Fairgrounds with Anberlin on the bill, two bands with more than two decades each behind them and brand new records to play from.

Big Guitars, Big Hooks, and a Final Day on Earth
Forever Now is Switchfoot’s 14th studio album and their first in five years. Mike Elizondo produced it, and the whole thing follows one idea start to finish: a person’s last day on Earth.
The band describes the sound as a return to big guitars, big hooks, and big themes. That is the Switchfoot most people met on The Beautiful Letdown, which went 3x Platinum, and stuck with through Hello Hurricane, which won a GRAMMY. Nearly 30 years in, there is a lot of catalog to pull from.

Anberlin’s First Album in Ten Years
Anberlin give you a reason to show up early. Vega is their first record in ten years, and the first with Matty Mullins of Memphis May Fire on live vocals, after founding singer Stephen Christian stepped back from full-time touring.
Christian is still on the album, alongside Joseph Milligan, Christian McAlhaney, Deon Rexroat, and Nathan Young. The Florida band has sold over 1.5 million albums in the U.S. and sent “Feel Good Drag” to No. 1 on Alternative Radio.
Twenty Years of Bro-Am, $3 Million Raised
Switchfoot have run their Bro-Am Foundation out of San Diego for 20 years, raising more than $3 million for at-risk youth in the city. They could have planted that work anywhere. They kept it here.
