Tiny House & Organic Farm Tour!
Saturday January 28th, Local Earth is hosting their first monthly CommUnity event for 2017!
This month, they’re headed to Encinitas to visit a newly built tiny house on an organic farm: Coral Tree Farm & Nursery. The Tiny House features a greywater system that nourishes a small nearby fruit orchard.
Participants will get a tour of the tiny house, learn about zoning and permitting laws for alternative structures, learn about the functionality of the graywater system and receive a tour of the farm as well!
There’s food too! Local Earth is kindly asking everyone to bring a tasty, organic, vegetarian dish to share at the afternoon’s potluck! In effort to minimize our footprint, they’re also asking you to bring your own cutlery, plate and drinking vessel.
Schedule
- 12:00 – Meetup, mingle, chat, connect with eco-minded friends
- 12:15 – Tiny House tour and greywater system
- 1:00 – Coral Tree Organic Farm Tour
- 1:45 – Vegetarian Potluck
Local Earth’s monthly events aim to inspire our San Diego CommUnity with examples of sustainable living and demonstrations of regenerative systems. They showcase local people, companies and organizations that are taking steps of action to create a more healthy world.
