Toddler Time Kicks-Off New Season At Birch Aquarium
This September, Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego relaunches Toddler Time, a series of fun and engaging events geared towards guests ages 2 to 5. Toddler Time will take place every other Wednesday morning beginning at 10 a.m. and features, live music, dancing, art activities, yoga, and more.
After the summer hiatus, fall’s Toddler Time relaunch features guest-favorite performers like Kathryn the Grape and Hullabaloo, as well as new experiences like mommy and me yoga with Seed & Song.
“Toddler Time provides a special experience for young children and their caregivers, with activities tailored to their interests and needs,” said Nan Renner, Senior Director of Learning Design and Innovation at Birch Aquarium. “Storytelling, art, music, and movement connect young learners with nature, the ocean, and other people, imbued with a spirit of fun and joy.”
Each Toddler Time event will feature a different theme presented by a special guest. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate in the activities.
Toddler Time kicks-off September 11 and runs through May. Performers for September and October are as follows:
September 11: Music & Movement with Kathryn the Grape
September 25: Little Aquarium Artists with Spramani Elaun
