Sustainable Becomes Fashionable And Fun At Trendy Trade Clothing Swap Events
Upgrade your close and make an impact! That’s the promise of one local social enterprise, Trendy Trade Clothing Swap Events, where profit takes a back seat to their socially conscious mission to help women and make an impact for good.
As the name implies, find those things in your closet that you aren’t wearing anymore, bring them to the swap and pay a small entry fee, and then pick up a few ‘new-to-you’ items to take home to fill those empty spots in your closet! Because items are traded and reused, they are kept out of landfills and a surplus is generated to then give back to homeless women working to rebuild their lives in our area.

Go through your closet and pull out what you: used to love when you were a different size, bought on a final sale and it doesn’t fit or work with your wardrobe, haven’t worn in 1+ years, wore for a special occasion and won’t wear again, would give a friend or sister.

All unclaimed items at the end of the event will help fill the needs of local women in our community working to rebuild their lives after homelessness. Trendy Trade is also proud to support women globally by showcasing Sak Saum‘s mission and products at our events. Sak Saum serves the exploited and vulnerable of Cambodia. They believe in seeing people set free from trafficking by rescuing, restoring dignity and transforming lives.

The next swap is this Saturday at Rose Wine Bar in South Park, starting at 12:30pm, which means you can have some wine and bites while you do your swapping – not a bad deal!
