Good Food, Good Vibes, and a Great Cause: WILDCOAST’s Baja Bash is Back
There’s something genuinely special about an event that combines an all-star chef lineup, ocean views, mariachis, and a mission worth rallying around. WILDCOAST’s 14th annual Baja Bash checks every one of those boxes – and then some.

A Night Overlooking the Coast
This year’s gathering takes place at a private Solana Beach residence with views of the lagoon and coastline, which feels entirely fitting for a nonprofit dedicated to protecting exactly that kind of landscape.
It’s the kind of setting that makes you remember why we love living here. And why organizations like WILDCOAST matter.

The Chefs Showing Up
The food situation at Baja Bash is no joke. Eight San Diego and Baja chefs are running gourmet stations throughout the evening:
- JoJo Ruiz (Lionfish, Temaki, Serea)
- Aidan Owens (Herb & Sea)
- Jason McCleod (Ironside)
- José Cepeda (Quixote at the Lafayette Hotel)
- David McIntyre (Lana)
- Marcus Tweilger (Dockside and Cherryfish)
- Brian Joseph Reimer (Ikaria)
- Karen Krasne (Extraordinary Deserts)
Expect fresh sustainable seafood, farm-fresh produce, and the kind of cooking that reflects both sides of the border we’re lucky enough to call our backyard.
Drinks Worth Sticking Around For
The drink lineup keeps pace. We’re talking small-batch tequila from Solento, artisanal mezcal, fine California wines, Baja Brewing craft beer, Bivouac Cider, and LIXIR Honey Mead. There’s something for everyone here.

Live Music, Mariachis, and an Art Auction
Between bites and sips, there’s live music and mariachis setting the tone for the evening. Local artists are also featured in an on-site auction. A nice way to take a piece of the night home while supporting the cause even further.
What WILDCOAST Does (and Why it’s Worth Supporting)
Founded in 2000, WILDCOAST has spent 26 years protecting some of the most ecologically significant coastal and ocean habitats in California and Mexico. That includes 38 million acres of coastlines, sea turtle nesting beaches, gray whale breeding lagoons, coral reefs, and 545,000 acres of underwater parks off California’s coast.
Closer to home, WILDCOAST has been restoring San Diego wetlands and canyon habitats, pulling invasive plants and putting native species back where they belong. Their trash booms and 86 community collection centers at the US/Tijuana border have kept more than 330,000 pounds of plastic, tire waste, and debris out of the Pacific Ocean.
These are real, measurable wins for the places we swim, surf, and explore year-round. Proceeds from Baja Bash go directly toward continuing that work across the region.
See you there!
An evening of exceptional food, beautiful coastal views, and real conservation impact. Baja Bash is one of those nights that leaves you feeling like your time and money went somewhere meaningful.
