Winter Wonderland Returns to Market Creek Plaza With Holiday Magic for All

Winter Wonderland 2025 is back at Market Creek Plaza, and if you’ve been looking for a free community celebration that’s created by the community, this delivers.

We’re talking a 20-foot illuminated Christmas tree, Santa photos, live orchestra, dancers, performers, live bands, a rock climbing wall, jumpers and inflatables, food from local vendors, and community resources all in one place. The event has a capacity of 2,000 attendees, so RSVPs are required.

Entertainment and Activities for All Ages

You get Santa photos and a meet-and-greet, live orchestra, dancers, performers, and holiday photo opportunities for the whole family. Kids have access to a rock climbing wall, jumpers and inflatables, and a Passport Activity where they visit community partners and collect stamps. Hands-on activities, crafts, and surprises keep everyone engaged.

The food comes from local vendors and small businesses at Market Creek Plaza – treats, snacks, and family-friendly options that support Southeast San Diego entrepreneurs.

This isn’t just entertainment. Winter Wonderland connects families with organizations offering support services, local resources, opportunities, information, and guidance. The combination of holiday celebration and community resources makes this more valuable than just another festive event.

The event is 100% free and made possible through nonprofit partnerships and community generosity. Every donation goes directly toward making the event more abundant for local families, including potentially bringing real snow.
