SanDiego’s iconic hot spot for the most important meal of the day, Breakfast Republic, has hatched another location in the East Village, kicking off the brand’s continued expansion for 2017. Known for their extensive menu incorporating innovative and classic breakfast foods, branded décorand humor-cracking signage, Breakfast Republic in East Village will grow to be downtown’s breakfast destination for locals and tourists to flock to every morning.

With locations currently in North Park, Liberty Station, and Encinitas, Breakfast Republic is ruffling feathers in the neighborhood of East Village. Patrons can start their days off with a cluck or two as the 2,696-square-foot space will feature the same cheeky design Breakfast
Republic regulars know and love (including their famous pancake whisk Einstein lights and pun-filled quotes). Not to mention, the new spot will sport a 300-square-foot patio, just in time for those sunny San Diego months. This location formerly housed Zanzibar Café, which shuttered in summer 2016.

Breakfast Republic’s full menu will be offered from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., same hours of operation for all other locations. If you have favorite dishes from their other locations menus, not to worry! East Village will feature the same out-of-the-box creations,
influenced by owner Johan Engman’s travels across the world. With a full liquor license in store, guests can enjoy drinks such as the Jurassic Pork Bloody Mary, or the Whiskey Sunny Side Up made with Koval American Oat Whiskey, lemon, cane sugar, red wine,
and egg whites.

Breakfast Republic is giving San Diego more reasons to get out of bed in the morning!
