Flower Hill Has Pivoted To Meet The Demands Of Our Community

Flower Hill, much loved by the San Diego community for over forty years, has seen their businesses change and pivot to meet the demands of the community during this unprecedented time – from restaurants supplying provision boxes, boutiques offering curbside pick up, to companies donating meals to our frontline doctors and nurses.

Burger Lounge

When Burger Lounge announced their Lounge Box allowing customers to create their famous burgers at home with all the trimmings the public went crazy for it. With children at home, these types of essential and educational ideas are just what we are all craving right now.

They’ve also partnered with Frontline Foods to feed two hospitals in our community next week as well – very cool!

Gepetto’s Toys

Another local favorite, Gepetto’s Toys quickly updated their website and put together Boredom Buster Bundles to keep the kids entertained and happy at home. Order online here. They also just re-stocked their puzzle selection with tons of new choices to pick from.

See’s Candies

See’s Candies have just donated 34,000 pounds, about $795,000 worth of candy to San Diego’s medical workers within the Sharp Healthcare system and other non profit groups here in San Diego.

“We want to thank Sharp Healthcare for their partnership in helping See’s Candies with this effort. Together, with the Sharp Healthcare team, See’s is thrilled to support front – line hospital workers and Health care professionals,” Pat Egan, CEO of See’s Candies, said in a statement. “We all need a little comfort right and positivity right now, and donating See’s is a great way to make people’s day better.”

Cucina Enoteca

Cucina Enoteca made sure immediately that all of their staff received food packages and offer no contact curbside pick up & have just launched their weekly provision boxes. Families can even order pizza kits to help teach the kids to create their very own Cucina pizzas at home.

If I Was A Bird Yoga

Owner Tiffany Gullberg of If I Was A Bird Yoga, a children’s yoga studio much loved by local families, quickly launched live yoga sessions for toddlers to teens. This has been hugely popular and they now offer virtual parties plus yoga and art classes. Click here for details.

The Wine Connection

The Wine Connection are now offering free same day local wine delivery to help us all through this worrying time. They have a team of wine experts ready to answer any of your questions in store and via phone at 858-350-9292.

Venissimo

Venissimo cheese – open weekends, Friday through Sunday, 10:00AM – 3:00PM only – have adapted by hosting live virtual cheese parties where you can order the selection and have tastings at home, panini parties and live beer and cheese Happy Hour.

TRE Boutique

Boutiques such as @treboutique that have been a part of Flower Hill for over 25 years quickly updated their website and are offering discounts and deals to their customers right now.

Miltons Deli

Miltons Deli, too, with their homemade chicken noodle soup packed with antioxidants, is available for pick up and delivery, along with their full menu.

Who doesn’t need some good comfort food?!

Show these amazing businesses the love, San Diego!
