GoodBar Announces Lineup Of Comedians Set To Take The Good Jokes Comedy Stage In August

GoodBar, Point Loma’s popular neighborhood bar located at 1872 Rosecrans St., will provide comedy fans with high-quality entertainment from its upcoming lineup of comedians set to take the stage during its Good Jokes comedy series every Wednesday night in August.

August 3 | Jonnae Thompson

Jonnae Thompson will kick off the August schedule with a performance on Wednesday, Aug. 3. The San Diego native regularly performs stand-up at the world-famous Comedy Store in Hollywood, Calif. While studying at California State University, Northridge, Thompson produced and hosted a popular comedy series, “Laugh Your Class Off,” with legendary talent, including Trevor Noah, Tiffany Haddish, Neal Brennan and more.

Mikel Albagdadi | August 10

Mikel Albagdadi, who appeared in the 2020 film “The Hunt,” will perform on Wednesday, Aug. 10. Albagdadi’s stand-up is filled with commentary about his unique upbringing and the everyday struggles of being a millennial. In addition to touring, he also runs one of the hottest comedy shows in Los Angeles, “The Comedy Roof.”

August 17 | Jono Zalay

GoodBar will welcome Jono Zalay to the stage on Wednesday, Aug. 17. Zalay has gained international press for his pranks on the DMV and has been named one of Comedy Central’s ‘Comics to Watch.’ The Los Angeles-based comedian has written comedy for FOX, Amazon and Comedy Central, and has appeared in more than 30 comedy festivals across the country.

August 24 | Jessie Johnson

Jessie Johnson will make guests laugh on Wednesday, Aug. 24. Johnson regularly performs sketch comedy at The Comedy Store and the Hollywood Improv in Hollywood, Calif., along with the touring comedy group, Literally The Worst Show Ever.

August 31 | Shaan Joshi

Shaan Joshi will round out the month with his set on Wednesday, Aug. 31. The comedian, writer and podcast host can regularly be found performing at The Laugh Factory and The Comedy Store in Hollywood, Calif., and has been featured on Chelsea Handler’s Netflix show, “Chelsea.”

Doors open for guests ages 21 and over at 7PM and performances begin at 8PM. General admission tickets are priced at $10 per person and may be purchased online here.
