Here’s A Sample Of The Most Expensive Homes For Rent In San Diego

It’s fun to play pretend, right? So let’s imagine that we’ve won the lottery or perhaps invented a really awesome gadget that turns us into millionaires. What would you do with all that money? For one, you could definitely afford to rent one of these extravagant homes and live the lifestyle of the rich and famous.

Here’s a glimpse into how the elite may live in seven luxurious homes for rent throughout San Diego:

Rancho Santa Fe – $9,900

Live in one of the most prestigious zip codes in the country in this stunning gated Fairbanks Ranch estate. The six bedroom, 4.5 bathroom, single story home sits on one acre with a pool, fruit trees and a stream running through the property (should we just leave it at that!?).

The 6,100 square foot home is just as spectacular as the property with Spanish architecture, a large kitchen with granite counters and top notch appliances and a huge garage with room to park at least four cars. You’ll also enjoy access to the community clubhouse, tennis courts and park.

Think you may want to live here forever, because if you can afford it, why not? You’re in luck! It’s available as a rent-to-own property, too!

Banker’s Hill – $7,995

Homes near downtown typically have a tiny lot but this 4,600 square foot Banker’s Hill home comes with a spacious-for-the-area lot of three-quarters of an acre. The hillside home includes a private pool, views of Mission Hills and lots of native landscaping.

Inside you’ll find gorgeous hardwood floors throughout the first floor, an award-winning kitchen and plenty of natural light. With five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, the home is perfect for a family or someone with frequent out-of-town guests.

The central location makes it great for walking to Hillcrest and Mission Hills and taking in the nightlife too.

College Area – $8,800

This whopping 8,637 square foot home is located near San Diego State University but may be “slightly” out of the budget of the average college student. Consider that the home has seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, though, and it may be an affordable split among roommates. There’s a huge master suite with a private office and not one, but two, bathrooms. Many of the other bedrooms are twice the size of a typical room too. Plus, there’s an additional in-law suite downstairs with a private entrance.

The home rests on a two-thirds of an acre with mature fruit trees, turf field and putting green as well as a pool, spa and BBQ area. Seriously, what doesn’t this house have?

La Jolla – $7,500

La Jolla is known for its beautiful homes and this Mediterranean-style abode is no exception. At 3,736 square feet, it’s one of the smaller homes on this list but the location and views more than make up for the size, which is still larger than most homes. It has four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, an office and a kitchen with granite counters and a built-in refrigerator.

Outside you can enjoy a BBQ area and firepit or visit the gated community’s pool and spa. Rest at ease as the neighborhood also has a gate guard and security.

Coronado – $9,900

If you’ve ever dreamed about living in one of those beautiful Victorian homes in Coronado, this house could make your dreams come true! Built in 1901 and fully restored in 2016, this is a home with an abundance of charm and elegance.

The four bedroom, three bathroom, 2,400 square foot home retains the historical details while adding modern conveniences, like a state-of-the-art kitchen, Sonos music system and climate controlled wine storage.

There’s also a 900 square foot outside patio for soaking up the abundant island sunshine and entertaining your guests who are sure to want to regularly visit. It may only have a one car garage (because who had more than one car in 1901?) but that garage has been upgraded to include an electric car charging station.

Downtown – $7,500

Live on the 35th floor of a luxury high-rise downtown and enjoy a view of San Diego that few people get to call home. The two bedroom, two bathroom condo has 1,786 square feet and includes two spacious balconies that offer an incredible look at Coronado, San Diego Bay and the city.

Floor to ceiling windows let in lots of natural light and provide picturesque views from every room. The condo comes fully furnished and has two parking spots in the attached garage, access to the pool, spa, sauna and more first class amenities. Plus, you’ll be walking distance to all the excitement of downtown.

Talk about an amazing opportunity to fulfill your urban dreams!

Del Mar – $7,500

If an ocean view tops the list of your dream home must haves, maybe this Old Del Mar home is what you have in mind. This 2,100 square foot home sits atop a hillside and has a view of the Pacific Ocean from many of its rooms, including the gourmet kitchen. Washing dishes isn’t nearly as bad when you can look outside and see the water, right?

The home also has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a two car garage.

So… Want to go in on that invention together?!
