Hundred Proof Launches Weekly Spirit Sessions Distillery Series

The brainchild of bartender Sean O’Connell, Hundred Proof’s new Tuesday night event series showcases distilleries and spirits specialists and provides guests an opportunity to learn the stories behind the unique spirits featured at the University Heights bar.

Hundred Proof Launches Weekly Spirit Sessions Distillery Series

O’Connell started Spirit Sessions to create a way for the Hundred Proof team to connect with the community and welcome people into its ever-growing family. The stories provide insight into the traditions, values, innovations and histories surrounding each of the spirits and ultimately answer the deeper question of “why” we drink what we drink.

A different distillery and spirit will be featured every week. Here’s what’s up next:

Gin Mare with Gavin Koehn

May 28, 7:00PM-8:00PM

Gavin Koehn of Gin Mare from Barcelona will guide guests through an interactive aroma experience that explores the botanicals responsible for the centuries old, highly misunderstood spirit that is gin.

He’ll start with the basics of what you need to make a gin, before diving into the herbal aromas and flavors that make Gin Mare uniquely Mediterranean.

The session will end with a hands-on lesson in how to make the perfect Gin & Tonic. Sounds good to us!

See you there!
