This is cool! As part of Kimpton’s efforts to tap into consumers’ desire to create authentic travel experiences, Kimpton Solamar Hotel, a stylish, 235-room boutique hotel in the heart of downtown San Diego, announced the launch of Room 301, a yoga-themed immersive guest room experience.

The Stay Human Project

A part of the Kimpton Stay Human Project, Room 301 will offer hotel guests an immersive and interactive experience of exploring various yoga-themed elements and activities that are designed to spark creativity, encourage self-care and self-reflection.

Kimpton Solamar’s Room 301 features a variety of custom-curated interactive elements including an all-levels 30-minute yoga video created in partnership with Yoga Digest, a gratitude wall for guests to share what they’re grateful for, an Instagrammable yoga-themed backdrop for photos, Mantra-inspired and organic bottled cocktails house-made at the hotel’s JSix Restaurant with You & Yours Vodka.

“Wellness is a major focus for Kimpton Solamar and we wanted our Room 301 to reflect that, while also offering guests an authentic experience that honors the interests of the San Diego community,” said Justin Gentry, General Manager at Kimpton Solamar Hotel.

“With San Diego being one of the top yoga cities in the country and its popularity with our guests, we wanted to design an experiential space that serves as an escape from the hustle of daily life, while promoting relaxation, self-reflection, creativity and shared human connection through all of the thoughtfully curated interactive elements of the room.”

Not Just a Room…An Experience

Room 301 also features exclusive collaborations with several San Diego-based companies including Quinntessentials, providing guests with three custom-created organic essential oil blends, featuring a lavender and lemongrass Savasana spray, a lavender and lemon grass roll on oil for sleep, meditation, gratitude and peace, and a yoga mat spray. Additionally, Kimpton Solamar partnered with Pura Vida Bracelets, to offer Room 301 guests hand-crafted bracelets as part of their check-in experience.

Room 301 guests are encouraged to share their experience in the room by leaving mementos for the next guest through writing messages on the gratitude wall, signing the guest book, reading messages from previous guests and taking Polaroid pictures. All Room 301 elements are interactive and inspire guests to both relate to others and leave their own mark, as a way to deepen human relationships in today’s increasingly high-tech world.

See you there!
