A Star-Studded Spring of Music at La Jolla Music Society
From classical icons to jazz legends and family-friendly favorites, the May and June lineup at La Jolla Music Society is proof that there’s no better place to experience live music in San Diego right now.

Classical Icons Take the Stage
The month opens strong with violin virtuoso Anne-Sophie Mutter joined by piano legend Yefim Bronfman and rising cello star Pablo Ferrández on May 3 at the Balboa Theatre. Later in the month, international sensations Sheku and Isata Kanneh-Mason bring their sibling synergy to The Conrad for a powerful May 31 recital.

Unforgettable Organ + Film Collabs
Organist Cameron Carpenter makes his LJMS debut with not one but two genre-breaking shows at St. James by-the-Sea: a traditional organ recital on May 16, and a live score performance to the 1927 silent film Metropolis on May 17. If you’ve never heard a pipe organ roar through a movie before—this is your moment.

For the Jazz Lovers
Wynton Marsalis returns to San Diego on May 18 with The Louis Project—a fusion of silent film, live jazz, and storytelling that pays homage to the origins of jazz itself.

More Highlights: From Family Fun to Bolero Nights
Don’t miss Grammy-winning kindie favorite Lucky Diaz (May 10) and the soulful vintage sounds of Tres Souls (June 1). Rising stars Jaemin Han and Do-Hyun Kim close out the season on June 15, promising a jaw-dropping performance for fans of the Discovery Series.

See you there!
From silent film scores to powerhouse classical trios and vintage Mexican boleros, this season hits every note. Whether you’re a music aficionado or just looking for a special night out, La Jolla Music Society’s May to June lineup delivers.
