La Jolla Walking Tour

la-jolla-walking-tour

Experience “the jewel” of San Diego with a walking food tour in La Jolla, CA. The tour begins in the center of La Jolla Cove, perhaps one of San Diego’s finest neighborhoods for eats and treats. Spot kayakers, surfers, even hang gliders as you meander under the palm trees through this piece of paradise.

As you begin your trek on the outskirts of the cove, listen to your guide explain the vast history of the spanish settlers and how even La Jolla has military roots dating back to the early 1900s. As your tour guide tells the history behind the Scripps family, see first hand where Ellen Browning Scripps once lived in the present day Museum of Contemporary Art.

Your friendly tour guide will also share how Theodor Geisele (more famously known as Dr. Seuss) made La Jolla his home, why the native Indians first called La Jolla “the hole in the mountain,” and how an acre in La Jolla once cost $1.25. Today, La Jolla remains one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the nation and is one of the most popular attractions in San Diego.

We’re sure you’re more than hungry by now and we hope your taste buds are just as excited to chomp on bites of all cuisine. From Hawaiian-inspired treats (sweet & savory), to apple pancakes, fish tacos with a sea view, Kobe beef sliders, healthy, organic superfoods, one-of-a-kind Biltong jerky, AND the largest tasting selection of CA made olive oil & balsamic vinegar.

Hungry yet?! Luckily, you can affordably eat your way through this town, one bite at a time, thanks to Bite San Diego only on the La Jolla walking food tour!
