Leigh Lacap Takes The Helm As New GM Of Frankie’s Oceanside

Leigh Lacap takes the helm as General Manager of Frankie’s Oceanside, a “handsome little cocktail bar completely run by bartenders and barbacks,” which now offers an abbreviated food menu by Q&A Restaurant and Oyster Bar located next door at The Brick Hotel.

About Leigh Lacap

Lacap got his first crack at cocktails in Little Italy at Craft & Commerce in 2010, later leaping at the opportunity to manage the bar and to develop the bar program at Ironside Fish & Oyster. He’s served as Beverage Director at Campfire in Carlsbad, followed by Jeune et Jolie, and aligned with SDCM restaurant group, helping to open Waverly, Cardiff and to formulate the bar program at Camino Riviera.

The Frankie’s team and connecting team at The Brick Hotel consider themselves incredibly fortunate to have Lacap on board.

Q&A kitchen bites

Q&A Restaurant and Oyster Bar is the namesake restaurant of Chef Quinnton “Q” Austin (Louisiana Purchase), Culinary Director of Grind and Prosper Hospitality Group. The Q&A kitchen bites are available Wednesday through Sunday at Frankie’s.

Skip on over to the Q&A bar to place your orders, then slide on back to Frankie’s and with true Southern hospitality, they’ll take care of the rest. Here’s a peak of what’s offered on the QR menu:

  • TENDERLOIN KABOBS | tangy lime marinade, peppers & onions, rice
  • SHRIMP CORNDOGS | 2 Cajun shrimp dogs, honey Dijon mustard, fries
  • CAJUN WINGS | 4 wings, lemon pepper butter sauce, fries
  • STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE | house biscuit, strawberry jam, vanilla ice cream, lemon, whip cream
