The Lucky Duck Foundation’s 13th Annual Swing & Soirée Highlights

At the 9/27 event, the Lucky Duck Foundation (LDF) honored the late Father Joe Carroll, who dedicated his life to combating homelessness and served as special advisor to LDF’s Board of Directors, by creating the “Father Joe Hustler of the Year Award” to recognize an individual or organization who embodies his spirit and ability to help those experiencing homelessness.

The inaugural recipient is Heather Lezon, Founder & Executive Director of the Youth Assistance Coalition (YAC). LDF provided a $250K contribution to YAC in Heather’s honor, and gave a copy of Father Joe’s memoir to every attendee. LDF also announced an investment of more than $2.4 million to accelerate several homelessness initiatives.

The Lucky Duck Foundation raises awareness and funds to help alleviate the homeless epidemic in San Diego County. We hope you will join us and share your luck to help us address San Diego County’s #1 issue.

Stay healthy, San Diego!
