Your Own Rooftop Retreat: Margaritaville’s Cabana Experience Has Arrived

Downtown San Diego just got a little more laid-back. The Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter has opened its rooftop pool cabanas to the public for the first time, and the setup is exactly as good as it sounds.

Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Cabana Experience

A Private Escape Above the City

Perched on downtown’s largest rooftop pool deck, these private cabanas give you a sun-soaked hideaway without leaving the city.

Whether it’s a low-key weekend afternoon or a birthday celebration that deserves something more than the usual, this is the kind of spot that turns a regular day into a story worth telling.

The License to Chill Package

For $75, the all-new “License to Chill Cabana Package” brings everything you need right to your cabana. The package is shareable and built around good taste – here’s what’s included:

  • Your choice of drinks – a bucket of beer, a pitcher of margaritas, or a bottle of bubbles
  • Fresh chips, salsa, and guacamole
  • Six tacos – choose veggie or carne asada
  • Six bottled waters to keep things refreshed

It’s a curated spread that covers the essentials without any of the hassle. Just show up and soak it in.

More Fun Within Reach

Once you’ve settled into your cabana, the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar is just steps away for anything else the afternoon calls for. With a full bar and a rooftop vibe that leans easygoing, it’s a natural extension of the whole experience.

The Gaslamp Quarter location puts you close to everything downtown has to offer – Petco Park, great restaurants, and the energy of the neighborhood – while the rooftop keeps things relaxed and away from it all at the same time.

See you there!

Grab a few friends, lock in a cabana, and let the afternoon take care of itself – this rooftop setup is exactly what a San Diego summer day should look like.
