Rooftop Benefit Concert Kicks Off Weekend

The celebration launches with a free rooftop benefit concert at 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar featuring live performances by local artists and a travel-themed silent auction.

This family-friendly, public event donates 50% of rooftop food and beverage revenue to the San Diego Music Foundation while offering interactive activations like photo booths, stilt walkers, and donation-based airbrush tattoos.

The concert format creates an accessible way for the community to support music education while enjoying live performances from the artists who benefit from the foundation’s programs. The travel-themed silent auction adds unique experiences and items that reflect Margaritaville’s lifestyle brand.

Weekend-Long Fundraising Initiatives

Multiple revenue streams support the cause throughout the weekend, including the Keep the Party Room Package that donates $5 per night from qualifying stays and the Cocktail for a Cause program contributing $1 from each signature cocktail served in commemorative cups.

These ongoing initiatives ensure every aspect of the guest experience contributes to the fundraising effort.

Weekend activities include donation-based ice cream carts, family-friendly activity stations, 5 PM rooftop cheers with complimentary margaritas, and blender bike competitions. The variety of experiences appeals to different ages and interests while maintaining the fundraising focus.

Supporting Local Music Community

The San Diego Music Foundation’s mission to build a stronger local music community through education, performance, and recognition programs aligns perfectly with Margaritaville’s celebration of music culture.

This partnership creates meaningful impact for musicians and music education in San Diego while honoring Jimmy Buffett’s commitment to supporting others.

The brand-wide Day of Service across all Margaritaville properties, resorts, restaurants, and destinations amplifies the impact while creating a unified tribute to Jimmy’s values and community spirit.

This Margaritaville annual Day of Service celebration perfectly captures the spirit of giving back while creating memorable experiences for guests and the broader San Diego community.
