The Talented Marisi Team Heads To NY To Cook For James Beard Foundation

The gifted team behind Marisi, La Jolla’s hottest dining destination for Italian hearth cooking and inventive cocktails, has been invited to display their talents for the prestigious James Beard Foundation.

Ambassadors of San Diego’s culinary scene

Chefs Chad Huff and Erik Aronow, along with Vice President of Bar and Spirits, Beau du Bois, will serve as ambassadors of San Diego’s burgeoning culinary scene, serving James Beard Foundation Patron Program Members at the Patron Program reception hosted at Platform by JBF.

The reception will also feature Diego Moya of June Wine Bar and Pooja Bavishi of Malai will be providing dessert.

Mission-driven culinary project

Platform by the James Beard Foundation, which launched this spring, is a groundbreaking mission-driven culinary project and space at the newly reimagined Pier 57 in New York City’s Hudson River Park.

Anchored within the Pier’s 16,000 square foot Market 57 food hall, the brand new, state-of-the-art show kitchen and event space will also serve as an educational hub for outstanding culinary arts programming and Good To Go by JBF, a bustling retail incubator for fast casual concepts featuring rotating menus from established operators who embody JBF’s mission and values, will be the physical manifestation of the Foundation’s Good Food for Good® mission.

The Marisi team continues to impress diners with their take on Italian cuisine and elevated classic cocktails and will be one of the first to cook at the new Platform at JBF, delighting guests for a private event and sharing their talents.
