Mayor Todd Gloria To Proclaim May 22 ‘Feeding San Diego Day’ At Presentation Today

Today (Friday, May 20), Mayor Todd Gloria will be at Feeding San Diego to proclaim Sunday, May 22 as ‘Feeding San Diego Day.’ This honor commemorates 15 years of the non-profit providing food assistance throughout San Diego County.

Feeding San Diego was founded on May 22, 2007. They have since distributed over 300 million meals to people facing hunger throughout San Diego County.

Media are encouraged to attend the proclamation presentation on Friday, May 20 at 11AM with Mayor Todd Gloria. Also in attendance are Feeding San Diego Founder and Board Chair, Gwendolyn Sontheim; members of the organization’s staff and board of directors; and a special guest, Lisa. She will speak about how Feeding San Diego’s services have helped her family.

The outdoor presentation is happening at the Feeding San Diego headquarters in Sorrento Valley. The venue will be at the parking lot, directly in front of the building.
