Memorial Day Specials Around San Diego

Memorial Day is just around the corner, and many San Diego businesses will be offering great specials!

Honor the occasion with friends by taking advantage of tasty food specials and raising a glass to the outstanding men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

The Smoking Gun

The Smoking Gun, the Gaslamp Quarter’s revolutionary spin on the neighborhood bar, will honor Memorial Day with irresistible food and drink specials. On Monday, May 27, stop in for $1 Easy Rider beers and the infamous Wagyu Double Cheeseburger served with a side of fries for just $16.99.

Cococabana

Downtown Oceanside’s Cococabana and Q&A Restaurant and Oyster Bar, both located within The Brick Hotel, are prepping for Memorial Day Weekend specials full of live music, brunch, and more.

Enjoy jazz from The Soto Six at Q&A on Sunday from noon to 3 PM and live DJs at Cococabana on Friday night, Saturday night, and all day Sunday.

Reservations can be made here for Cococabana and here for Q&A.

barleymash

barleymash is prepping for an epic stars and stripes weekend, with food and drink offerings from Saturday to Monday, noon to close. Partnered with Tito’s, barleymash will donate $1 of every drink sold to the San Diego chapter of The Honor Foundation.

Cocktails include:

  • The Stars & Stripes with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, fresh lemonade, and strawberry
  • The America the Beautiful with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, prickly pear, and lime
  • The Yankee Doodle with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, espresso liqueur, cold brew, and coconut chocolate whip
  • The Star Spangled Banner with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, lychee, lemon, and bubbles

Barrio Star

On Monday, May 27, military personnel can enjoy 10% off at Bankers Hill’s Barrio Star with proof of military ID. Revel in margarita flights and an extensive array of tacos in the restaurant’s open-air atmosphere.

Fish Shop

Not only is Fish Shop a local mainstay for fresh seafood in a casual atmosphere, it’s also a veteran-owned establishment! Owner and partner Billy Ramirez served in the United States Marine Corps, so supporting the San Diego military community is an important aspect of the Fish Shop ethos.

On Memorial Day, Fish Shop will extend its Active Duty Military Discount (10%) to veterans and first responders across all three locations. Present a valid ID and receive 10% off your purchase.

With three locations in San Diego—Pacific Beach, Encinitas, and Point Loma—there’s no reason not to plan a visit to Fish Shop for Memorial Day this month!

Arely’s French Bakery

Arely’s French Bakery in Clairemont will feature specialty Memorial Day cookies throughout the weekend. On Monday, May 27th, veterans can also enjoy 10% off at the bakery and restaurant.

Miss B’s Coconut Club

Miss B’s Coconut Club in the heart of Mission Beach will feature a specialty cocktail all weekend long, alongside brunch, dinner, drinks specials, and more. The Stars and Spritz sounds particularly tempting, with Absolut Wild Berri, lime, cordial, pomegranate, soda, and Cava!

Make your reservations here.

Coco Maya

Coco Maya, on India Street in Little Italy, is also geared up for a weekend of brunch, dinner, and drinks. This hotspot, sister restaurant to Miss B’s, will feature their very own Stars and Spritz with blood orange aperitif and soda. YUM!

Reservations for Memorial Day specials can be made here.

Memorial Day Specials at Coco Maya

Duck Dive

PB’s Duck Dive will be offering 15% off for active and inactive veterans, with proof of duty, on Memorial Day. The beach bar and hangout will also be extending their Bottomless Mimosas until 2 PM that day!

Pair with decadent brunch favorites like Steak & Eggs, a 9oz. rib-eye, chorizo potatoes, and two eggs, served over garlic toast, or for those with a sweet tooth, the Stuffed French Toast made with orange-infused cinnamon egg bread, stuffed cheesecake filling, and topped with seasonal berries.

Memorial Day Specials

Spill the Beans

Spill the Beans’ Mission Valley location will feature a permanent jewelry pop-up on Saturday, May 26, from 8 AM to 3 PM in partnership with Haus of Serotonin.

Located at 525 Camino de la Reina, stop in for massive bagel sandos and fresh-brewed coffee on their expansive outdoor patio!

Louisiana Purchase

Louisiana Purchase, located on Louisiana Street in North Park, will extend its hours on Sunday, May 26, to close at 9 PM to accommodate later drinks and dinner service.

With their recent new cocktail launch including frozen margaritas and more, you’re sure to want to enjoy the weekend down in the bayou!

Make your reservations here.

PRK 101

PRK 101, located in Carlsbad Village, is your go-to this Memorial Day Weekend for sunshine, finger-lickin’ BBQ, and lively libations! Monday marks the beginning of Summer hours at this crowd favorite, open daily at 11 AM through the season.
