Memorial Day Specials Around San Diego

Memorial Day is just around the corner, and many San Diego businesses will be offering great specials!

Honor the occasion with friends by taking advantage of tasty food specials and raising a glass to the outstanding men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

The Smoking Gun

The Smoking Gun in the Gaslamp is keeping it straightforward for Memorial Day: a burger, fries, and beer combo for $12. Plus Red, White & Booze specials covering Strawberry Margaritas, Blue Raspberry Vodka Lemonades, Marshmallow Mudslides, and beer bucket specials.

Hero Happy Hour runs in the afternoon with additional deals for the crew. Comfortable food, cold drinks, and no dress code beyond red, white, and blue.

📆 Monday, May 25 | Hero Happy Hour: 3 PM – 7 PM
📍 555 Market St, San Diego

barleymash

The Gaslamp’s barleymash is running a full four-day Memorial Day Weekend with DJs, giveaways, and a cocktail lineup built for the occasion – the Star Spangled Spritz, Patriot Punch, and Liberty Lemonade.

On the food side, buttermilk fried chicken with summer fixings is the featured special. It’s a crowd-friendly setup with enough going on to justify staying longer than planned.

📆 Friday, May 22 – Monday, May 25
📍 600 Fifth Ave #6916, San Diego

Duck Dive

Pacific Beach’s go-to beach bar, Duck Dive, is marking Memorial Day with bottomless mimosas and 20% off for anyone who’s served – active or inactive, just bring proof of duty.

The brunch menu has plenty to soak it all up: the Breakfast Burrito wraps house-made chorizo, potatoes, poblanos, roasted corn, queso fresco, cheddar, scrambled eggs, and fresh cilantro in a spinach tortilla, while the Candied Walnut French Toast stacks cinnamon egg bread with candied walnuts, fresh whipped cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and house-made caramel sauce.

One of those two should cover whatever kind of morning you’re having.

📆 Monday, May 25 | Bottomless mimosas until 2 PM
📍 4650 Mission Blvd, San Diego

Cloak & Petal

A MICHELIN-recognized Little Italy spot, Cloak & Petal is leaning into the long weekend with a menu that pairs Japanese technique with full-on BBQ energy.

Chef Robert Cassidy’s Carolina BBQ Spare Ribs come slicked in a Carolina gold sauce with BBQ potato salad and slaw, while the Stars & Stripes Roll layers yellowtail, blackened shrimp, and avocado with a sambal vinaigrette and honey wasabi crema.

On the drinks side, Bar Manager John Perez is pouring the Aphrodisiac (fresh-pressed watermelon, lime, ginger, and Haku vodka) and a Frosé made with strawberry, rosé wine, and lime. Rosé by the glass is $9 all weekend – and yes, that goes all day.

📆 Friday, May 22 – Monday, May 25 | Opens 4 PM daily
🎟️ Reservations strongly encouraged: Book your table

Union Kitchen & Tap Gaslamp

Steps from Petco Park, Union Kitchen & Tap Gaslamp is the natural pre- and post-game stop for the Memorial Day Weekend series.

The drink specials are dialed in: $15 La Serena Margaritas, $15 Espresso Martinis, and $10 Watermelon Slushies, plus BBQ rib specials running through the long weekend. Whether the Padres win or lose, this is a solid place to land.

📆 Saturday, May 23 – Monday, May 25
📍 333 Fifth Ave, San Diego

PB AleHouse

A stone’s throw from the beach, PB AleHouse is running a full Memorial Day Weekend takeover with BBQ rib specials, food and drink deals, and DJs spinning day into night in the beer garden.

Saturday and Sunday bring afternoon day parties followed by late-night sets. Sunday’s highlight is a Long Drink Day Party with samples, cowboy hats, temporary tattoos, and bomb pops – the kind of afternoon that doesn’t need much more of a sell than that. BBQ specials carry through Monday all day.

📆 Friday, May 22 – Monday, May 25
📍 721 Grand Ave, San Diego

The Rooftop Bar

The Rooftop Bar at Mission Pacific Beach Resort sits directly above Oceanside Beach with views of the pier, and Memorial Day Weekend is shaping up to be one of the better excuses to get up there.

san diego Memorial Day Specials

The four-day run features rotating DJs, a new pool concierge service, and a late-night menu on Fridays and Saturdays. Monday brings Grape Expectations, with special pricing on wines from California, Baja, and Europe. A solid way to close out the long weekend with a glass in hand and the Pacific in front of you.

📆 Friday, May 22 – Monday, May 25 | Late-night menu: Fri – Sat, 9 PM – 11 PM
🎟️ Book your table via OpenTable

Union Kitchen & Tap Encinitas

Union Kitchen & Tap Encinitas is keeping it classic for Memorial Day with house-smoked baby back ribs served with house BBQ sauce and baked beans – available all day, or until they’re gone.

The drink move is the Clawsicle, a house-made boozy popsicle mixing Blackberry White Claw, vodka, prickly pear purée, lemon juice, and rich simple syrup. Between the ribs, the popsicle, and the laid-back coastal vibe, it’s a pretty complete picture of how a Monday holiday should go.

📆 Monday, May 25 | All day (while supplies last)
📍 1108 S Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas
