Monzu Fresh Pasta Opens For Takeout And Delivery

East Village pastaria, Monzu Fresh Pasta, has reopened for takeout and delivery – and in addition to its menu of hot pasta dishes alongside raw pasta available for at-home cooking, this week, the restaurant debuts its first-ever flatbreads for pickup and delivery.

Monzu Fresh Pasta Opens For Takeout And Delivery + New Flatbreads

Flatbread varieties rotating through Monzu’s weekly menu range from classic Rossa with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and basil to Tartufo with truffle honey, burrata and black pepper. Others include Verde with house pesto and mozzarella, Spicy Calabrese with spicy nduja and pork sausage, a Vegetarian flatbread with mushrooms and arugula, and Napoletana with broccoli, pork sausage and mozzarella and a sweet Nutella flatbread.

Several flatbreads also mimic Monzu’s popular pasta dishes, like the Amatriciana with cherry tomatoes, pecorino and crispy guanciale and the Zola e Pere with bleu cheese, pears and walnuts. Prices range from $13 to $15 and some flavors are only available for delivery via Postmates, while many can be picked up at the restaurant in East Village.

Meanwhile, the two-year-old Monzu Fresh Pasta continues to make guests’ favorite pasta plates including the giant cheese-stuffed Cacio e Pepe Ravioli, Bolognese Tagliatelle, Meat Lasagna and Porcini e Salsiccia Fusilli, plus many more types of pasta, salad, sides, desserts and bottles of wine. A new menu is announced each week on Monzu Fresh Pasta’s social media.

Currently, Monzu Fresh Pasta is open Wednesdays through Sundays. Orders are taken via telephone (619) 255-5032 and those wanting to place special orders for larger meals, such as full trays of lasagna or baked gnocchi, can do so at info@monzufreshpasta.com or via Instagram messaging to @MonzuFreshPasta.

Stay healthy, San Diego!
