Moonshine Beach is Turning 10 and the Party Lasts All Weekend

Pacific Beach’s most well-known night out just hit a big milestone. Moonshine Beach – the bar and live music venue built around line dancing, great drinks, and non-stop energy – is celebrating 10 years this spring with a three-night anniversary series.

If you’ve never been, now’s the time. If you’re a regular, you already know why this one’s worth clearing your schedule for.

Thursday: Customer Appreciation Night

Thursday kicks off with a nod to the community that’s kept Moonshine Beach going for a decade. There’s an RSVP-only hosted bar from 6 to 8 PM capped at 500, so reserve your spot now. Doors open to everyone at 8 PM, with a Build-Your-Own Glizzy Bar, giveaways, and a set from DJ Real Hypha.

Friday: Live Music + Line Dancing

Friday brings a live headlining performance from Lucas & Steve, with line dancing and DJ Kiki also on the bill. Doors open at 7 PM – a solid night out whether you’re there for the dancing or the live show.

Saturday: The Anniversary Party

Saturday is the big one. The anniversary party runs from 7 PM to close, with line dancing from 7 to 10 PM, DJ Hypha from 10 to 11:30 PM, and DJ Kiki closing out the night. More giveaways throughout, so stick around.

Moonshine Flats Named Country Bar Of The Year By The 2020 Nightclub & Bar Awards

A Decade in Pacific Beach

Ten years in the San Diego nightlife scene is no small thing. Moonshine Beach has spent that time welcoming everyone from first-timers learning the two-step to regulars who could probably do the Cotton-Eyed Joe in their sleep.

The venue has hosted major country acts over the years, including Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Megan Moroney, and Old Dominion. It was also named Best Nightclub in San Diego by readers of San Diego Magazine in 2024.

Behind the venue is Good Time Design, the hospitality group founded by Ty Hauter that also runs Moonshine Flats, The Deck, Happy Does, and The Blind Burro. The group is expanding nationally, with locations in Nashville and a Las Vegas outpost in the works.
