Music Box Brings A VIP Experience To The San Diego Music Scene

San Diego is home to some of the best small concert venues in the country, but the Music Box in Little Italy is giving the SD music scene a little something extra with their VIP accommodations.

The ThereSanDiego team went to Music Box for a concert recently, and the staff was kind enough to give us a VIP tour. We were impressed!

Not Too Big… Not Too Small. Just Right!

The venue isn’t huge, which gives it the nice intimate feel most of us crave from our shows, but it’s big enough to draw a decent sized crowd. The contemporary space is tri-level with an upscale, “lofty” feel to it.

Depending on the size of your party, you can rent the entire space or you can rent out private areas during a concert. They can accommodate anywhere from 25-700 people with an added outdoor space that can hold up to 3,500 for corporate events, festivals or block parties!

They have a dedicated and knowledgeable in-house team who can help with the planning, food menu, drink list and booking local bands, DJs, or headlining artists for your special event.

If you’re going there for a concert, there are plenty of areas to hang out, socialize and enjoy the show… and we guarantee you will not be disappointed!

If you’re looking for the VIP experience for you and some friends, a work event, Dirty 30, engagement party or some other awesome celebration, they’ve got you covered with a couple different options.

The VIP Room

For a group of 10 or more looking for the ‘star treatment’, you can reserve the VIP Room. This is a private room that sits above and behind the stage, so you have a perspective of looking out on the crowd almost as if you are in the band – a really unique experience!

It’s also the room that many legendary performers have used as their spot to hang out during shows – and party after shows – so anyone who’s a serious music buff will love the history of the room.

Opera Boxes

On the mezzanine level, the Music Box has five Opera Boxes which can host intimate parties of 6.

The Opera Box option gets you close to the stage with a great view while allowing you and your buds to stay super cozy on the cushy chairs.

The SkyBox

If your group is a little larger, the VIP SkyBox is a perfect option for up to 30 people. It sits on the 3rd floor and has a direct view of the stage. It has 2 plush sofas, a fireplace, pub height tables and a service staff.

The SkyBox lets you still feel like you are in the action of the concert while having your own ‘party within the party’.

Book It!

The Music Box has an incredible lineup of talent making its way through their doors in the coming months. Grab some tickets to a show for you and a friend, reach out to them at Events@MusicBoxSD.com or check out the VIP options to do your next party in style!

Either way, Music Box is a great night out in Little Italy. We’ll see you there!
