How to Welcome In The 2021 New Year, Pandemic-Style

This year, some will be celebrating the start of a new year but most of us will be thrilled to say goodbye to 2020. While this isn’t the ideal year for a huge party, you should still make the most of it with your ‘quarantine crew’!

Here are some ideas to end 2020 on a high note and celebrate the New Year…pandemic-style!

Order Takeout from a Local Favorite

The amazing restaurants of San Diego need our support more than ever, and many of them are still serving up special menus to celebrate the holidays and New Year. Browse our big list and find one or two to order from!

JRDN is bringing New Year’s Eve dinner to your home. Enjoy a festive meal for four, including Cold Smoked Prime Rib, hot and ready sides, and dessert. All you have to do is cook the prime rib to your liking and enjoy your night! To complete your at-home experience, let JRDN’s in-house Sommelier pair your meal with a bottle of bubbles, red or white… wine not?!

Trust Restaurant Group‘s Rare Society is offering a Surf and Turf package full of all the fixings needed to whip up a 5-star meal for two from the comfort of your home.  This is your chance to show off all those new cooking skills you learned on TikTok this year all while treating that special someone to an unforgettable dinner.  They’ll think you snuck Brad Wise in your kitchen while they weren’t looking!

If cooking is not your forté, we totally understand. Fort Oak and Rare Society are both offering their full menus available for takeout. Find favorites from Trust on Fort Oak’s menu and Cardellino gems on Rare Society’s menu. Pick up is available on New Year’s Eve from 3 PM to 8 PM.

Get In The First Run of 2021 at the New Year’s Virtual 5K Run!

Dust off your running sneakers! Start off 2021 on the right foot, or in this case, both feet! The first day of the year is the perfect time to participate in a 5K. Whether you decide to walk or run it, you will be so glad that you participated! Stay connected with everyone participating in their Facebook group and document your run with the hashtag #1stRun2021.

Get an Early, Chilly Plunge in at the Beach!
