Featuring rotating recipes and weekly deliveries, San Diegans can enjoy an at-home celebration with Moniker Cocktail Co.’s boozy bundles. This week, The Cocktail Basket is provisioned with the making for a Spiced Pear aperitif and Moniker’s signature Margarita.
Upgraded kits offer add-on wines, including Wildsong Sauvignon Blanc, Cavicchioli 1928 Prosecco and Moniker’s Custom Blend of Woodford Reserve. The Cocktail Baskets range from servings of 10 to 12 cocktails and vary in pricing from $120 to $175. Madison on Park
The neighborhood gem is offering take-out from 5PM to 9:30PM, Tuesdays-Sundays and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30AM to 2PM. The menu features the restaurant’s approachable Mediterranean and Southern California fare, dessert, cocktails with all the garnishes and beer to-go, plus their extensive wine list, including a selection of natural wines. The menu includes Madison‘s famous double-cut sesame-crusted Pork Chop, Carnitas Pappardelle, Portabella Fries (vegan), salads and more. CH Projects, Multiple locations
Restaurant and hospitality group Consortium Holdings (CH Projects) has takeout and delivery available from multiple locations across San Diego including both Underbelly locations in Little Italy and North Park serving up all your ramen cravings available to order online. The newest Fortunate Son in North Park pays homage to American Chinese takeout classics including dishes like Beef & Shishito Peppers, General Tso’s Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken, also offering to-go cocktails from neighboring cocktail bar Polite Provisions, all available by calling the restaurant at (619) 391-3767, through the website here, or the walk-up takeout window.
Favorite hangout spot J & Tony’s Discount Cured Meats and Negroni Warehouse (J & Tony’s) in the East Village is open daily from 8AM to 4PM for takeout offering everything to get your Tex-Mex fix, wine and more, which can all still be enjoyed on their outdoor public patio, and adjacent coffee bar Invigatorium is open daily from 8AM to 3PM for your grab and go coffee and breakfast needs. Finally, classic fish house and oyster bar, Ironside Fish & Oyster will be creating a menu highlighting favorites from all the closed CH locations.
Busalacchi Restaurants
Barbusa and Nonna + Cafe Zucchero , the Busalacchi Family’s restaurants, each of which are located in Little Italy, have teamed up to offer a to-go menu that highlights favorites from each menu. The pre-fixe menu includes 3 courses for $20, with the Busalacchi’s Famous Garlic Bread serving as a starter, along with your choice of two salads, five pastas, and the option to add on additional sides, mains, desserts, and wine. Course options include Tritata Salad, Bolognese Al Forno, and their renowned Granchio pasta, while add-ons include Ossi Bucco, Chicken Parmesan, and Meatballs.
Each meal is designed to feed one person, and the minimum order is two meals. Takeout orders can be placed daily from 4PM to 8PM starting Friday, Dec. 11th by calling Barbusa at (619) 238-1917 or emailing [email protected] using the subject “TAKEOUT ORDER.” All orders will be available for pickup from Barbusa. Additionally, for those that prefer delivery, Barbusa has partnered with a meal delivery service for the first time, and can now be ordered through DoorDash as well.
Pho Ca Dao Vietnamese Kitchen
San Diego’s neighborhood Vietnamese kitchen Pho Ca Dao will be offering takeout and providing their full menu via curbside pick-up and delivery apps like Postmates, GrubHub, DoorDash and UberEats. Enjoy any one of their signature Pho (served with PCD rich broth in a 14 hour simmer) at home including the Royal Pho, Oxtail Pho or Filet Mignon.
Their latest venture in Mission Valley features an expanded menu from the other Pho Ca Dao & Grill restaurants, a full bar program including a variety of specialty cocktails, a Pho Ca Dao beer, and wine. This location is also offering family meals to simplify the takeout process for groups of two or four combining popular items, including pho, appetizers, and rice dishes, to create an easy and delicious meal for a great price, ranging from $25 – $40. Orders can be placed in person or over the phone at (619) 684-5129 daily from 11AM – 10PM. The Huynh family also has seven locations throughout San Diego including Mira Mesa, Poway, Rancho Bernardo and Santee.
Rusticucina
Farm-to-neighborhood eatery, Rusticucina is open daily for takeout from 4PM – 8PM offering a condensed menu of their Sicilian crafted cuisine showcasing dishes from Executive Chef Marco Provino, along with specialty to-go cocktails and wine. To be enjoyed at home, dishes include pizzas, flatbreads, salads, house-made pastas and entrees like the Chicken Parmigiana with spaghetti & pomodoro sauce.
Rusticucina will also have delivery available through GrubHub and Postmates, and those picking up their orders can shop their Italian Market and Italian Grocery baskets for $25 with gnocchi, a bottle of wine, tomato sauce, parm cheese and fresh basil. The restaurant also offers a take home Special Pizza Kit that is available every Tuesday for $9.95 that includes pizza dough, fresh tomato, mozzarella, basil, pepperoni, sausage and bacon.
White Rice
To get a taste of award winning chef Phillip Esteban’s upcoming White Rice concept, which will be opening as a Filipino rice bowl food stall within Liberty Public Market in March 2021, orders to taste his bold filipino flavors can be placed for delivery here, seven days a week between 10AM – 5PM. Designed like Filipino sari-sari, or corner bodega, White Rice offers a menu of rice bowls based on traditional Filipino dishes including Lechon Kawali, or crispy pork belly, Pinoy BBQ, Mushroom & Tofu Sisig, and Filipino Spaghetti with hot dog bolognese, spaghetti, queso de bola and fresh herbs, along with sides like the classic Filipino roll, Ube Pandesal, made with ube & ube jam served with butter, along with salads, lumpia and beverages.
Ranch 45
Restaurant and butchery, Ranch 45, located in Solana Beach, is the perfect one-stop shop for all your takeout needs. The restaurant offers their full breakfast and lunch menus, along with provisions and items from their fully stocked butcher’s case for both takeout and delivery. Ranch 45’s meat-centric menu focuses on utilizing high quality, locally sourced ingredients in their selection of breakfast favorites, buildabe plates, sandwiches, salads, and signature specials like Chicken Sausage Gumbo.
To complement the restaurant’s breakfast and lunch offering’s, Ranch 45 offers dinner from Thursday through Saturday from 5PM to 8:30PM. The Gluten Free Baking Company
The Gluten Free Baking Co. in North Park is remaining open for pickup and takeout orders to help support those with allergens and intolerances. The bakery offers a rotating list of items, including cupcakes, bagels, breads, cookies, donuts, muffins, and flatbreads, as well as a variety of gluten-free grocery essentials, including pasta and pizza crust. All of the bakery’s products are 100% gluten free celiac safe, and the bakery also carries many vegan and dairy free products. In addition to the bakery’s daily offerings, The Gluten Free Baking Co. also does custom cakes, and is currently offering a full holiday menu, which can be found here. Vistal Restaurant
The InterContinental San Diego will be offering takeout from their signature restaurant, Vistal, from 7AM to 8PM daily to accommodate guests and locals alike. In addition to the restaurant’s full menu, Vistal is also offering a takeout Happy Hour menu Sunday through Thursday from 4PM to 6PM. The menu, which is available for pickup from the luxury waterfront hotel, honors happy hour pricing, which includes discounted beer and cocktails of the day, as well as 20% off all food. Menu highlights include Blackened Local Fish Tacos, Crispy Salt & Pepper Chicken Oysters, and Broccoli Rabe Flatbread, as well as 4 signature cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
La Puerta
Gaslamp’s edgy neighborhood spot, La Puerta continues to offer curbside pickup and delivery through its website. Enjoy quality Sinaloan-inspired food from the comfort of your own home while creating your own, at-home fiesta when you order the Vergudo Margarita Package which includes 32oz fresh squeezed house margarita mix (with your choice of tequila or mezcal) and a large order of La Puerta’s popular Chips & Salsa. Order from La Puerta between the hours of 3PM and 10PM on Taco Tuesday and receive deals on their famous TJ Dawgs ($3), Street Tacos ($3) and Tecate ($3). You can never go wrong with a good quesadilla, some chips and salsa!
Teriyaki & Bao
Asian-fusion restaurant, Teriyaki & Bao, is open for takeout and delivery through its website and on Postmates, Grubhub and DoorDash. Enjoy unique menu items that draw inspiration from viral Asian food trends, like the Tornado Fried Rice which is classic fried rice with a tornado omelette and tomato sauce, Creamy Matcha Udon with curry, green tea powder, potato, bell pepper, edamame, carrot and onion, and Almond Cauliflower Bites served Korean style with gochujang sauce. Also on the menu are Harumama’s Instagram-favorite steamed character buns, now with new character designs and fillings as well as never-before-seen character Bao buns which are unique to this location. You can also bring some holiday cheer to your table with Teriyaki & Bao’s holiday bao bun special. December 21 through January 4, the restaurant will be serving up snowman bao buns filled with fresh sliced bananas and nutella.
Saint Archer Brewing Company
Both of Saint Archer Brewing Company’s tasting rooms, located in Miramar and Leucadia respectively, remain open for to-go beers and curbside pickup, along with local delivery. The San Diego brewery has an array of six-packs and twelve-packs available, as well as four-packs of their R&D series beers and crowlers. The Leucadia tasting room is open daily from 12PM to 7PM, with delivery available within 10 miles of the tasting room, while the Miramar tasting room is open Monday through Thursday from 1pm to 6:30PM and Friday through Sunday 12PM to 6:30PM with delivery available within a 20 mile radius. Valentina
The European-inspired bistro and wine bar, Valentina, will be turning into Valentina Express during this three week stay-at-home order, offering four course dinners to go and turning the indoor space into a bottle shop and mini market. Order through their website Tuesday-Sunday between 4:30PM and 7:30PM and choose from four different main courses, Rioja Braised Beef, Chicken Paillard, Paella or Stuffed Aubergine and two different appetizers, Roasted Carrots or Wasabi Caesar Salad. All meals are served with Smoked Corn Soup and a decadent slice of Basque Cake with salted caramel sauce. The four course meals vary between $30 and $35 and while you’re picking up your food, might as well add in a bottle (or two) of wine currently being offered at a deal.
Operacaffe
Operacaffe in the Gaslamp Quarter is offering an authentic taste of Italy available for delivery this Christmas Day, with two specially-curated, four-course meal options to choose from. Seafood lovers can order their Christmas Seafood Menu, priced at $38.99 per person,
and featuring Insalata di Mare, Linguine allo Scoglio , Cod Mediterraneo and Torta al Limone. Also available is their Christmas Meat Menu priced at $38.99 per personal and showcasing dishes such as Crostino de Polenta & Funghi, Caesar Salad, Stinco di Agnello and

Gaslamp Breakfast Company
Gaslamp Breakfast Company is welcoming the holiday season with their December food and drink specials, including their hearty Biscuits and Gravy Waffle prepared with gluten-free buttermilk biscuit batter, loaded with sausage gravy and eggs for good measure! Warm up with a cup of Peppermint Mocha infused with espresso, peppermint schnapps, mocha and steamed milk, topped with whipped cream and crushed candy cane.
Fig Tree Café
Fig Tree Café’s outposts in Liberty Station and Pacific Beach are celebrating the holidays all December long with their Chocolate Hazelnut Latte, as well as Cranberry Almond Baked French Toast topped with house-made eggnog glaze – both available for carryout!
Breakfast Republic
Gorge on Breakfast Republic specials in the comfort of your own home all throughout December with their Veggie Breakfast Pot Pie – packed with creamy mushroom and vegetable gravy, cradled by crispy puff pastry topped with plant-based egg and chives – or treat your sweet tooth to Gingerbread Pancakes infused with gingerbread spice and sweet cinnamon swirl, finished with whipped cream and cookie crumble. Rest assured you can still get their Paloma Mimosa on the go – infused with tequila, grapefruit and lime juice with brut and a kosher salt rim. Cloak & Petal will celebrate the holidays as well as New Year’s Eve with takeout dinner and cocktail packages honed for both occasions! Locally-owned OB Noodle House and sister concept, OB Noodle House Bar 1502, are open for takeout. While San Diegans may be staying at home for a while, at least we can be at home with our favorite pho and spicy garlic wings! Green Acre Campus Pointe
At Green Acre Campus Pointe, new Chef Joe Bower (formerly of Juniper & Ivy and Craft & Commerce) has put together a very special Holiday Dinner for Five with highlights including Applewood Smoked Nueske’s Ham fully prepared to bake at home and USDA Prime Casino Beef Roast, also fully prepped for the at-home cook. Since no holiday is complete without a plentiful variety of side dishes, options include smashed red bliss potato with aged cheddar and potato and oven roasted carrots with citrus chile butter.
The meals are priced at $125 and include your choice of a bottle of 2015 Sparkman ‘Holler’ Cabernet Sauvignon or the Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree cocktail for five with gin, lemon, pomegranate, ginger and rosemary. For breakfast in the morning or treats throughout the day, the meals also include Bake at Home Fresh Cinnamon Rolls with orange icing, a family recipe from Chef Joe’s mom that was part of the Bower family Christmas tradition. A nightcap can also be added for $30 and serves Hot Buttered Rum for Five. Common Stock
Hillcrest’s quintessential neighborhood restaurant is serving up a couple of boozy libations to add a little more joy to the holiday season. Beverage Director Eric Wickham has created two specialty cocktails available to-go. He’s crafted Blitzen’s Bourbon Blitz with lemon, cinnamon, apple cider and bourbon. The punch can be served either hot or over ice and is available in a single serving for $12 or large format in a 32 oz. mason jar for $40. For pure comfort in the “cold” San Diego winter, Common Stock is also offering Abuelita Mexican Spiked Hot Chocolate with cinnamon, orange and clove. $4 for simply the hot chocolate or $10 for Wickham’s spiked version with bourbon and Irish Cream.
Additionally, Common Stock has just launched a pop-up Hot Chicken drive-thru experience through the holiday season cleverly dubbed Fowlmouth Chicken. The restaurant has made a name for itself with its fried chicken sandwich since it opened doors in 2018. Now San Diegans can enjoy takes on the signature sandwich with two combo options in typical drive-thru fashion. Each combo meal is priced at $13 with three spice levels and includes either chicken tenders or chicken sliders with curly fries on the side. Farmer & The Seahorse
Farmer & The Seahorse Chef Sam Deckman has crafted a special Christmas meal to make the holiday much less stressful this year, no trip to the grocery store required. The Torrey Pines restaurant is offering two options both priced at $45 per person or $150 for a family of four. Option One includes a prime rim main dish and sides including mushroom horseradish sauce, confit potato, green beans with slab bacon, a holiday salad with spinach, cloves, bacon and orange segment and a peppermint brownie dessert. Option Two includes a main dish of duxelle stuffed porchetta with sides of jus, garlic potato puree, brussels sprouts and a holiday salad of spinach, cloves, bacon and orange segments and peppermint brownies for dessert. Meals must be placed 24 hours in advance of pick up and can be picked up at the restaurant from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. any day between December 21st and 23rd. In addition to offering exclusive to-go beer crowlers and bottles of wine from the Baja region, the Chula Vista taproom, kitchen and wine bar will also offer a series of to-go packages just in time for the holidays! Mongolian Hot Pot and Shabu Works will be open on Christmas Day and offer signature Hot Pot Home Kits for pick-up and delivery. Kits serve two, four, or six individuals and range from $45-$120, with the option to purchase a personal stove and pot set for an additional cost. Guests can savor an assortment of fresh veggies, handmade noodles, premium proteins, and traditional soup broths.
