Patisserie Melanie Launches French Bistro-Style Dinner

North Park’s homegrown haven of Parisian pastries and European flair has officially expanded into bistro dinner territory! Le Cordon Bleu-trained Chef Melanie Dunn has launched a full-service dinner menu at her namesake Parisian-inspired eatery, Patisserie Melanie, featuring classic French bistro-style dishes with flavor and ingredient nods to her Filipino and Hawaiian roots.

The concept draws inspiration from her summers spent at cooking school and European travels, particularly her beloved Parisian bistros, places where patrons can leisurely start with a morning coffee and pastry, seamlessly transition into lunch, and effortlessly segue into dinner.

Patisserie Melanie Bistro-Style Dinner Menu

The evening menu features classics such as Plat Principal offerings, including Saumon Beurre Blanc, Coq au Vin, Boeuf Bourguignon, and Cassoulet.

Amuse Bouche and Premier Cours starters include Plat Fromage with seasonal house-made preserves and marmalades and Endive Salad topped by a silken tofu dressing with a splash of soy sauce as well as Salmon Croûte, Vol-au-Vent, and an Artichoke-Spinach Bechamel tart all made with Chef Melanie’s hand-crafted puff pastry.

Prestige desserts include Paris-Brest praline and almond pastry, Verrine Saisonnière (orange panna cotta, Earl Gray marmalade, dark chocolate mousse, espresso gelée and a cacao nib tuile), Tarte Citron, and Île Flottante.

The thoughtfully curated beverage menu includes French red, white, and rosé wines, Champagnes, aperitifs, and beer by the bottle and glass. Signatures include L’Orange Lilikoi with passion fruit puree, orange juice, and brut; The Kir Royale with blackberry puree, brut, and blackberry fruit caviar; and The Melanie with lychee juice, brut rose, and rosewater spritz.
