Pendry San Diego Launches Three New Culinary Experiences Worth Booking

Pendry San Diego is rolling out some thoughtful new dining programming that goes beyond the typical hotel restaurant offerings.

Between Provisional Kitchen and Fifth & Rose, they’ve created three distinct experiences that feel more like destination dining than convenient hotel food—Bestie Hour, a Justin Vineyards collaboration dinner, and their signature Boozy Tea service.

Bestie Hour at Provisional Kitchen

The new Bestie Hour concept feels like someone actually thought about what people want from happy hour. For $30 per person, you get a Caesar salad, cheese and charcuterie board, choice of basil pesto rigatoni or margherita pizza, plus an ice-cold martini in espresso, cosmo, or dirty varieties.

The pricing makes sense for what you’re getting—it’s a complete experience rather than just discounted drinks and small plates. Having it at Provisional Kitchen in the Gaslamp gives it that downtown energy without feeling too touristy.

Justin Vineyards Wine Dinner

The collaboration dinner with Justin Vineyards represents the kind of programming that sets hotel restaurants apart from the pack. Five courses with carefully selected wine pairings for $195 per person isn’t cheap, but it’s positioned as an intimate evening rather than just another wine dinner.

The Gaslamp location provides that urban backdrop that makes special occasions feel more special.

These types of collaboration dinners often showcase both the restaurant’s capabilities and introduce diners to wines they might not otherwise try. The timing in early October captures that fall season transition when people start thinking about more substantial dining experiences.

Boozy Tea at Fifth & Rose

The Boozy Tea service takes the traditional afternoon tea concept and gives it a San Diego twist with tea-inspired cocktails and sweet and savory small bites. It’s targeting that weekend leisure market looking for something different from brunch.

The concept works because it’s distinct enough to feel special while being accessible enough to become a regular weekend tradition for some people.
