Postino WineCafé Spices Up San Diego’s Brunch Scene

Time to add a new spot to your weekend rotation. Postino WineCafé is finally jumping on the brunch bandwagon, and it’s worth the wait!

Starting August 10, both the Del Mar and Little Italy locations are rolling out a brunch menu that’ll make you want to ditch your usual Sunday plans. We’re talking a mix of sweet and savory dishes that’ll fuel your weekend adventures, whether you’re beach-bound or hitting up the farmers market.

Must-Try Dishes

Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—”What The French”. It’s not your average French toast. It’s focaccia-style bread soaked in a secret batter, baked to perfection in cast iron, then topped with pecans, caramel, and a scoop of ice cream. It’s basically dessert for breakfast, and who doesn’t love that?

For those who like a little kick to start their day, the “Meatball Shakshouka” is where it’s at. You’ve got a boiled egg, house-made meatball, and arrabbiata sauce, all jazzed up with feta, herbs, and crispy fingerlings. It’s comfort food with a Mediterranean twist.

And because it’s not brunch without a little booze, Postino’s got you covered with some wine-based cocktails. The Sherry Mary is their take on a Bloody Mary, perfect for all you wine lovers out there.

Little Italy’s Extra Perk

If you’re hanging around Little Italy, you’re in for an extra treat. Starting August 8, they’re adding spirits-based cocktails to the menu. We’re talking 50 classic bar drinks plus seven Postino signatures. And they’re kicking it all off with a Spritz Social on August 31.

Pop by between noon and 2 PM for some free swag, samples, and giveaways!
