Puesto Gets In The Holiday Spirit With Festive Taco Of The Month

Continuing to bring a contemporary and innovative flare to their Mexico City-style tacos, Puesto is getting in the holiday spirit with their December Taco of the Month, the Chile en Nogada.

Chile en Nogada

Their take on the red, green and white National dish of Mexico, the Chile en Nogada Taco features chipotle seco rehydrated and wrapped around ground beef picadillo (containing roasted poblano, dried cranberries and sunflower seeds) and is topped with traditional nogada sauce, made of Mexican crema and walnuts, pomegranate seeds and parsley.

Simultaneously celebrating seasonality and Christmastime, the dish is typically prepared during pomegranate season, October through January, which is why it is commonly enjoyed during the holidays.

Puesto’s Navidad Cerveza

For more Christmas cheer, wash down the Puesto’s December Taco of the Month with Puesto’s Navidad Cerveza, created at Puesto Cervecería, a craft brewery based in San Diego led by veteran brewer, Doug Hasker. A strong, full bodied, malty dark Mexican style bock beer, the Navidad Cerveza combines spice from German Sterling hops with a rich dark roasted malt character, and is available at all Puesto locations through the month of December.

See you there, San Diego!
