Oceanside’s Q&A Celebrates 1 Year With New Cocktail & Culinary Experience

Celebrating its first year, Q&A’s new cocktail menu is a testament to its rapid ascent as a top spot for seafood and Southern flavors. The Oceanside gem, located in The Brick Hotel, has become a haven for those who savor oysters and Louisiana-inspired dishes, coupled with a good cocktail.

This fall, Beverage Director Rob McShea has revamped the drink selection to complement Chef Quinnton “Chef Q” Austin’s culinary creations, infusing the menu with the season’s best.

Q&A’s New Cocktail Menu

The latest additions to the North County’s beverage landscape include:

  • Harvest Mule: A seasonal concoction featuring vodka, apple cider, lime, cinnamon, and apple pie spice.
  • Pumpkin Spiced Espresso Martini: A tempting fusion of pumpkin spice-infused vodka, Mr. Black Espresso Liquor, cold brew, and house-made pumpkin spiced mousse.
  • Pumpkin Spiced Espresso Martini: A tempting fusion of pumpkin spice-infused vodka, Mr. Black Espresso Liquor, cold brew, and house-made pumpkin spiced mousse.
Pumpkin Spiced Espresso Martini
  • Kiwi Gin Sour: A refreshing creation with kiwi-infused gin, lime, and a touch of orange bitters evanescence.
  • Pimmp’s Cup: A unique combination of Plata tequila, Pimm’s, lemon, strawberry, ginger, and a delicate cucumber ribbon.
  • Autumn Spritz: A sparkling medley of apple cider and red apple-infused liquor, topped off with prosecco.

  • Pier View Daiquiri: Crafted with a house rum blend and complemented by banana liqueur and zesty lime.
  • S’mores Old Fashioned: A tantalizing blend of marshmallow-infused bourbon, cacao liquor, cocoa bitters, and a dramatic table-side presentation.
  • Q’s Seven Five: A delightful blend of cognac, lemon, pistachio, bubbles, lemon zest, and meringue.

Food menu highlights

For food connoisseurs and cocktail aficionados, the options are equally enticing. Whether you choose to bask in the back patio’s ambiance adorned with succulents from Succulent Coffee, perch at the stylish bar, or nestle into a cozy booth, be prepared to embark on a sensory journey that promises to captivate your taste buds.

Rob McShea shares, “This revamped menu reinvents classic cocktails like the mule, old fashioned, and espresso martini with spirited, autumnal twists. My personal favorites include the Harvest Mule, the smoky S’mores Old Fashioned, and the Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini. These cocktails are thoughtfully designed to complement a selection of small bar bites from the menu, creating a harmonious culinary experience.”

Among the food menu highlights at Q&A are the Charbroiled Oysters seasoned with Cajun spice, garlic lemon butter, and parmesan, the hearty Gumbo featuring chicken and sausage, and the delectable Fried Chicken drizzled with chili honey during the happy hour.
