Realm of The 52 Remedies Launches Omakase-Style Cocktail Tasting Menu

Realm of the 52 Remedies, the chic, intimate cocktail bar creating craft cocktails and small plates inspired by the flavors, unique ingredients, and artistry of the Far East, announced the launch of a new Omakase-style cocktail tasting menu. The first of its kind in San Diego, this tailor-made tasting experience aims to further complement and elevate its already eclectic and inventive menu offerings.

This omakase-style cocktail tasting menu, named the “The Supreme Elixir,” is fully-customized based on guests’ own personal preferences of flavors. Upon making a reservation, guests consult with the bartender about dietary restrictions and any food allergies. From there, the bartender takes control to create a personalized tasting based on preferred flavor profiles. Omakase, which essentially means “I’ll leave it up to you,” is a Japanese concept that has become renowned in top-quality sushi restaurants where patrons leave their selections in the hands of the chef.

The Supreme Elixir is for a maximum of four guests that can choose either a 4-cocktail ($40 per person) or 6-cocktail ($60 per person) tasting menu and can also opt to add a food pairing ($70 for 4-cocktail pairing, $90 for 6-cocktail pairing) designed by Chef Jonathan Bautista. Guests can also opt to upgrade the tasting further with the “Jade Emperor’s Private Collection” of limited edition, vintage, and rare spirits.

“It’s our goal to raise the bar for what people expect from a craft cocktail bar,” said Cris Liang, co-owner. “This tasting menu is a fully-immersive and interactive customized experience to showcase some really amazing and exotic ingredients in a very interesting way.”
