Rubio’s Coastal Grill Donates To WILDCOAST On Behalf Of 40th Anniversary

Celebrating their 40th anniversary, Rubio’s Coastal Grill, home of The Original Fish Taco®, is pleased to donate $54,846 to WILDCOAST, an organization working to conserve some of the world’s most significant coastal and marine ecosystems in the U.S. and Mexico.

On January 25, guests celebrated the company’s 40th anniversary and Baja roots by enjoying a total of 55,400 Original Fish Tacos® for 99¢, the original price when Rubio’s first opened their doors in 1983. “We are thrilled to help raise awareness and donate to a very worthy cause near to our hearts – protecting the ocean and its ecosystem for future generations,” said Rubio’s Co-Founder Ralph Rubio. “Making this donation wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of Rubio’s guests, and we’re grateful for their ongoing support.”

Rubio’s is continuing their year-long celebration with a Fish Taco Battle, new menu items, rebranding in each of the Rubio’s restaurants, and an unwavering commitment to protect the ocean.

“Rubio’s gift will allow WILDCOAST to continue conserving our precious coastal and marine ecosystems,” said WILDCOAST Director of Development Ann Wycoff. “As a fellow San Diegan, I personally know how passionate Rubio’s is about the importance of supporting initiatives that help preserve our healthy oceans. We are incredibly thankful for Rubio’s generosity.”
