Salute The Season At Liberty Station’s Holiday Events

Season’s greetings! The holidays are just around the corner and Liberty Station’s Salute the Season events are back with a variety of festive, family fun events to celebrate the holidays.

Liberty Station Tree Lighting

November 26, 5PM-9PM

Liberty Station invites the community to celebrate the season at its 2021 Salute the Season main event, the Liberty Station Tree Lighting & Holiday Festivities, taking place in the North Promenade. Gather your loved ones and enjoy a free magical evening of lighting Liberty Station’s iconic 88-foot Norfolk pine tree as well as live entertainment, festive firetruck rides, free photos with Santa, and The Grinch movie showing.

Hannukah & Menorah Lighting

November 28 | 5PM

In partnership with The Chabads of Downtown San Diego and Pacific Beach, Liberty Station will host this public Menorah Lighting in their Central Promenade to commemorate the first night of Hanukkah. The free magical, family-friendly festivities will be complete with music, live entertainment and the traditional lighting of the menorah.

Nutcracker Tea Party

December 11 | 11AM and 2PM

Liberty Station announces the return of the 4th Annual Nutcracker Tea Party at our new location at the Liberty Station Conference Center with two showtimes of 11 AM and 2 PM. Locals and visitors are invited once again to partake in the magic of the holiday season with a family-friendly event encompassing a joyous afternoon of a narrated performance of The Nutcracker by San Diego Ballet, scrumptious treats and hot cocoa, photo opportunities with Santa, an interactive demonstration by the Ballet, and much more!

Tickets begin at $55 to $65 and can be purchased here.

Salute the Season Outdoor Art Installations

Liberty Station is displaying holiday-themed Art Installations created by ARTS DISTRICT resident artists and in partnership with NTC Foundation. Visitors are invited to embark on a self-guided tour to see each piece located on Historic Decatur Road between Barracks 19 and Liberty Public Market. This free and open-to-the-public showcase will be on display Thanksgiving weekend through the new year.
