Seaside Sessions Returns With Free Ocean View Concerts at Del Mar Plaza

Del Mar Plaza brings back one of summer’s hottest free entertainment series with Seaside Sessions, offering live music on the Ocean View Deck.

The combination of talented local musicians, ocean views, and the relaxed atmosphere on the deck creates exactly the kind of experience that makes summer evenings in Del Mar special.

Fresh Faces Join Established Favorites

This year’s lineup introduces some exciting new additions to the Seaside Sessions roster. The Fooks bring Irish Rock energy, The Shams SD deliver rock covers from the 80s and 90s, and Wolff offers danceable classics spanning the 60s through 90s.

These newcomers join returning favorites, creating a mix that keeps the series feeling both familiar and fresh.

The genre diversity ensures there’s something for every musical taste. From Michael Tiernan’s blend of folk, blues, soul, pop, and rock to Salty Papa’s soulful R&B and jazz grooves, each evening offers a different sonic experience while maintaining the laid-back coastal vibe that makes these sessions work.

Standout Artists to Watch

Sweet Juanita’s Americana, blues, and classic rock should pair perfectly with the coastal setting, while American Mile’s southern rock and blues promises the kind of energy that works well for outdoor audiences.

David Spitzfaden closes out the month with a diverse mix of rock, blues, funk, jazz fusion, and pop that should provide a memorable finale to the series.

More Than Just Music — It’s a Whole Vibe

What makes Seaside Sessions such a gem isn’t just the music (though, yes, the tunes are top-notch) — it’s how the whole night comes together. You roll in early, grab a table at one of Del Mar Plaza’s breezy oceanfront spots for dinner and a drink (hello, sunset spritz!), maybe wander through a few boutique shops or art galleries, and then let the live music carry you into golden hour.

It’s not just a concert — it’s a choose-your-own-adventure night out, with the beach as your backdrop and good vibes on tap.

And there’s just something about hearing live music with the Pacific stretched out in front of you and the breeze in your hair.

So grab your friends for good music, good views, and that mellow, end-of-day energy that makes you forget about your phone for a while.

See you there!
