For the love of the game

Last year, the pair created a real-life version of Cluckin’ Bell, a restaurant from the video game franchise, Grand Theft Auto. This year, their creation of Cluckin’ Bell will be joined by another Grand Theft Auto restaurant, Burger Shot.

  • From July 14-16, Burger Shot will be open at 14035 Midland Rd, Poway, 11AM until 8PM, Friday and Saturday, and 11AM until 7PM, Sunday.
  • From July 19-23, Cluckin’ Bell will be open at 751 4th Ave, 11AM until 9PM, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday; and 11AM until 12AM, Friday and Saturday.

“We’re so excited to be working with Michael Too and his incredible brand, boyworldwide, again this year to host two truly immersive food events in celebration of San Diego Comic Con,” said Jeremy George, Co-Owner of Smokin J’s BBQ.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming all GTA-lovers, Comic Con visitors, and local San Diegoians at these events to enjoy delicious food, drinks, and a truly unique video game-inspired experience,” said Josh George, Co-Owner of Smokin J’s BBQ.

Inspired by the love for the Grand Theft Auto franchise, these two living food art installations aim to indulge all five senses of each visitor. Smokin J’s has created exclusive menus for each video game restaurant popup. As thirst quenchers, eCola and Orang-O-Tang will be offered at both restaurants.

In addition to food and themed drinks, Burger Shot will also be offering limited quantities of Burger Shot Stallion toy cars and uniforms. Cluckin’ Bell will be offering limited quantities of their uniform, as well as exclusive yoga mats in exchange for conquering their Beat the Cock push-up contest.
