Sammy Hagar Is In Town To Help Us Celebrate National Rum Day Properly!

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and spirits trailblazer, Sammy Hagar, will spend the day celebrating in San Diego on Thursday, August 18th, in celebration of National Rum Day.

National Rum Day is actually on the 16th, but the Red Rocker is celebrating all month long with deals, parties, and a beach cleanup to mark the launch of his new Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co.’s top-shelf sparkling rum cocktails.

Keeping our beaches and ocean clean

Hagar, whose Beach Bar Cocktails champion his mission to keep the beaches and ocean clean, will present Surfrider Foundation with a donation and host a happy hour at Beach House in Pacific Beach; as well as host a Padres pre-game party in Gaslamp Quarter at Tin Roof on Thursday, August 18th.

Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co. will host its second San Diego beach cleanup with Surfrider Foundation in Pacific Beach on Saturday, August 27th, followed by an after-party at The Local.

Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co. is kicking off a donation drive for Surfrider now and will match the first $2,500 in donations that are made here.

Thursday, Aug 18th | Beach House + Tin Roof

3:30PM-5PM: Surfrider Check Presentation and Happy Hour with 101.5 KGB-FM
Beach House, 3125 Ocean Front Walk

Hagar will make a check presentation to Surfrider Foundation and host a happy hour serving his top-shelf Beach Bar Cocktails, iHeart Radio’s 101.5 KGB-FM will be broadcasting live with afternoon DJ Clint August, plus Hagar will unveil a sand sculpture by renowned sand sculpture artist, Greg LeBon.

Beach House will offer discounts on Beach Bar Cocktail cans and buckets, plus complimentary merchandise and giveaways will be available while supplies last. Beach House offers 300,000 square feet of fun under the San Diego Sun with outdoor tiki bars, firepits, cabanas and more, all just steps from Mission Beach.

Hagar is then heading to the Gaslamp for a happy hour at Tin Roof.

Saturday, Aug 27th | Beach Cleanup at Crystal Pier, Party at The Local

Surfrider Beach Cleanup: 9AM–12NN, check-in at Crystal Pier, 4500 Ocean Blvd.
After-Party at The Local: 2PM–5PM, 809 Thomas Ave.

Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co. is partnering with iHeart Radio’s 93.3-FM and Surfrider Foundation to host a beach cleanup in Pacific Beach from 9AM–12PM. Check-in will be held at the Crystal Pier, located at 4500 Ocean Blvd. All beach cleanup participants age 21 and over will receive a certificate for $3 off a Beach Bar Cocktail can at The Local, located at 809 Thomas Ave.

The official after-party will be held from 2PM-5PM. Complimentary merchandise and giveaways will be available while supplies last and 93.3-FM will be broadcasting remotely from the after-party.
